Do you simply not understand english adamj. THERE ARE TWENTY FIVE NEWZEALANDERS IN THE COMP WHO YOU ARE COUNTING AS AUSSIES. and i haven't even started on the englishmen and islanders.

And what is your point? It is a bit unequal, but it's not about who wins it's about competiting and growing RL in other countries. Do we have a chance at winning FIfa world cup mate? not a chance in hell, but the country still loves watching the pool matches.

Hey dummies I just checked out the NZ 25 and guess what? I said before that Australia had two Kiwis playing for the Kangaroos. For NZ it's WORSE!

Josh Hoffman, Frank Pritchard, Bryson Goodwin and Jason Nightingale were all born in AUSTRALIA!! And what else do we have? Roger Tuivasa-Sheck (Samoa) and Sam Moa (Tonga). SIX PLAYERS WHO SHOULDN'T BE WEARING THE BLACK JERSEY!!

Make these corrections and you watch Australia's odds plummet and NZ's lengthen!

all qualify under the Parent / Grand Parent claus
in that either all their parents , or grand parents are naturalised citizens of New Zealand

end of cockhead

I don't even think the Kiwis will make the final turd burglar
England will beat them in the semi at Wembley & go on to make the final

that final in Manchester will be massive

I'm not sure what all the fuss is about really. Rl are trying to grow the game and are putting on a World Cup. To grow it the allow rules that see as many countries compete as possible. So what ?? Does it really matter. Good on them I say. And as pointed out it may create interest in a country where down the track the sport grows to a point they can field a team from the local competition.

for all the crap the AFL gets for being a local sport, RL isnt much better. you basement dwelling virgins are so despite to brand it an international sport. but its anything far from it.originated fro England, as it was created for the ******* who are to mentally challenged to understand union. league hardly known in its motherland! & is only the odds from the bookies, shows pretty much show, it will be Australia in the final playing the Kiwis or England, and the rest are no chance :(/

& the AFL cops flack for being uneven :(/ :(/

The point is then Phelpsy don't call it a WC because it ain't - it exhibition matches to promote the sport nothing else - like I said I would accept its legitimacy if it were 5 or six teams but not 12 because they allow rules where players can play for Australia - oh sorry not good enough, try NZ - sorry not good enough - Samoa again not good enough - ok say you live in America we will fit you in there! That's the point - I find it hard to get excited for international competition when players can pick a number of countries they can play for!

No, dave, not end of, because such clauses should NOT EXIST!! It's why this pathetic WC is a JOKE!

Phelpsy, they've been at this for decades. And what have they got to show for it? Growth my arse!! Starting this WC back in the 50's, they should have at least 30 countries playing the game now. And what's the most they've got at a WC? 16!! It's a joke I'm telling a fair dinkum dad blasted JOKE!!

the first RLWC was in 1954
almost half of the players playing are Australian based! Australia is a shoe in to win their 7th world cup out of the last 8!
the other 2 contenders to make the finals are NZ and Great Britten, the rest are a bunch of minor countries with no chance!

you guys are so mad all you have is some shithouse competition no one cares about. try get 400k (likely 500k when the tournament is finished) to an international AFL comp in AUSTRALIA and you'll fail, let alone another country.
