its funny how you bumsniffers keep insisting on including the State of origin series. its nothing but a novelty state vs state factor,
90% of people who watch the State of origin couldn't even name the players, or tell you about how the game works

GWS – huge slap in the face, will be absolutely filthy at Buddy. He’s taken less money, in the same city.

AFL.com.au is reporting that the offer is $10M over 9 years.
…surely that cannot be right.
If so, the Sydney List Manager needs to be quietly pulled aside, told to take a deep breath, and see if that ludicrous offer can be withdrawn…quickly.

No it'll be the AFL's because there is no way the Swans can fit that in under their salary cap. GWS could because they've barely spent anything on players as they are mostly rookies.
Buddy to GWS I think.

Disaster? He's signed for 9 years and will keep the swans in the 8 for years. What a disaster for the AFL!

Just had a look at the SMH, couldn't find anything bout this buddy until i ctrl + f searched his name and it popped up once in the sport section. Wasn't in the top 5 most popular stories either but I saw the NRL Dally M awards on the front page....
Only popular in a couple of backward states, there's a reason it dominates NSW, QLD, ACT is gaining popularity in NZ, is PNG's NATIONAL SPORT and England also has a league dedicated to the game.

thats because you would of been in the Rl section
top 2 stories are Michael clarke out of the Indian tour & the GSW withdrew their offer to Franklin, then the next 2 stories are about the RL grand final.

And on the sports page, first headline, "Mental and physical pain will fuel Stewart's desire" RL
Next Clarke,
Then Buddy, and that's it for the page. And this is the SPORTS section. That guy went on about it as if it was being hailed as the 2nd coming in NSW, one story on the entire smh.com.au and one story in sports section. probably the same story im guessing LOL

on the front page now, the only thing RL it has is a picture of the daly M awards with a picture of a RL player & his partner in a white half see through dress,
there is no RL story on the main page but wait "Lance Franklin's sting in the tail" a story on Franklin

Yeah, and that Dally M article is right at the top with a big picture while you have franklin's article in small print. And this is supposedly the biggest story in AFL of the year aside from set events like GFs etc.
Really punching into NRL heartland with a smallprint 5 words about him and a little picture and another headline in the sports section.
