15742 and falling

Oh dear RL attendances continue to slide into what will be a disaster of a season for their TV broadcasting partners - it's now down to 15742 almost 1000 less a round a turning up to games! The lowest since 2008! Oh dear how far will they fall? - meanwhile AFL is starting to climb back up to their previous high of 2010 with an increase of 2.1% on 2012 attendances! With channel nine risking all with gambling on the NRL with such an over inflated TV rights deal it may take both parties down - only time will tell!

The only available data is the TV ratings and crowds, both of which are dropping. And those who continue watching are becoming increasingly confused and frustrated.

Seriously EFA.....and.....

AFL is doing better, because NRL's best efforts still falls way short of the AFL not at their best.

NRL shouldn't be proud. They should be angry and wanting to do something about it. But they can't because no rugby fans want to go to club games except for finals. They only come out for State of Origin. And that's a bad thing.

NRL's got more problems than AFL will ever have.

Ch 9 debt

Nine's national network strategy will see debt top the $1 billion mark
NICK TABAKOFF
July 04, 2013 12:00AM
NINE Entertainment will be left with a total bill significantly north of $350 million for its move to consolidate a national network through the purchase of billionaire Bruce Gordon's WIN stations in Perth and Adelaide.
Some analysts have claimed the two purchases could potentially push Nine's debt levels through the $1 billion mark, from their existing $700m level.

Prepared to admit your wrong?

Not so the NRL - how far will Cronulla fall? Essendon and the AFL can move on now - not so the NRL!
