Abbott has not been all bad, got tough on all the illegal boat people which is great. That is what got the liberal party my vote.

Then you fell for the greatest con in Australian politics. Boat people are a non issue in the greater scheme of things. If I recall correctly more people come into Australia illegally on aircraft than boats, and yet i dont see Super Hornets escorting 747s into Manus Island.

Yes but people who arrive here illegally by plane don't cost the government millions like illegal boat people... They don't throw their passports overboard to hide their identity.
These boat people cost the government 100s of millions in detention centres, welfare and expenses when they are resettled into Australia by claiming refugee status.

Is great what Scott Morrison has done stopping these freeloaders comming here to jump the immigration quew into Australia.
Glad they cut foreign aid and the department of climate change too.

Fark helping overseas countries all the time with millions of dollars. The government in Australia should be putting that money into our own hospitals and helping our own homeless instead. And helping out your struggling farmers that feed this country.

the boat people discussion is crap. the people who run the boat smuggling operations, run them as a business. highest bidder gets a spot on a boat. where the government stuff up is they leave the boat people in those detention centers for years costing billions. they need to be faster in making up their minds in either processing them viewers or sending back to their country of origin.
