I don't understand this argument that you're trying to make? Collingwood get 54k against an out of town team, Cronulla get 20k against St George, so therefore Cronulla, having filled a greater % of their tiny stadium, are a bigger team than Collingwood? I just don't understand what point you think you're making?

Dave "Allen" claimed that only Melbourne gets capacity AFL crowds. Xman proved him wrong showing a Perth example. And notice that Cronulla won't play that game at a larger venue because they don't have the confidence that they'll get more people and make more money as a result.

not quite, the storms highest home crowd ever has been 25,480, 6 k short of the 31k capacity, & average 12049k at home :(/ so take Melbourne off the list.
not sure what point you are trying to prove Raiderdave, :-({|=
the AFL out draws the stupid mans version of Rugby (NRL), every where with the exception of Brisbane where its pretty even
so once again epic fail :(/ :(/

GiantsRD excludes all games of football not played in Sydney and is now bringing other codes into his argument in an attempt to bolster the NRL if it was purely NRL v AFL which this site is predominantly about he would have 3 games a year he could claim some dominance in otherwise it would be nothing but AFL! Funny when you compare apples with apples and just talk about club matches and not exhibition matches like SOO NRL is nowhere to be seen! Another interesting point is NRL is now -2.5 % on last years crowds while the AFL is up +5.2%!

Wow just wow!

I think the storm would be happy with that average ... It's a nice niche market in an AFL dominated area. And melbournians love going to their sport . No one expects them to get AFL type crowds . The swans must be very happy too with their average being able to out draw most Sydney nrl clubs on nrl heartland. I am curious though as to why that is and it will be interesting to see whether the giants will be able to make a similar transition as the swans have made.
