I'm temporarily coming back to vent about this because I need to.

Absolutely stupid decision.

No matter what they do, there WILL be a player exodus. The coach was not the problem. The board was and is the problem. The new CEO made a poor read of the situation and should have allowed Neeld to sit the season out. They now have a coach in charge who will only make things worse. You only have to look at his record over at Adelaide for proof that Neil Craig will destroy anything that is left on the field at the Demons.

The club is doomed, and the only way they can be saved now is to move to Tasmania. The supporters should rise up in support of Neeld and tell the entire board to POQADCB.

Norm Smith and Jim Stynes will be doing somersaults in their respective graves, Stynes especially. This is the death of a once proud club who put fear into the opposition when Smith was in charge. They have become a joke with no excuses. I hope West Sydney pummel them when they meet at the Showgrounds soon. It's what they deserve.

Hey TLPG, can you change your signature?

Yes I agree, I used to like melbourne as my second team. Now i wouldnt bother tuning in to watch them at all. It's quite depressing the downfall but I think its more multifaceted than you suggest. Tanking happened and contributed to the woeful culture of the club another big issue is the AFL's poorly thought out expansion and the thi9n spread of quality players across the comp..

Why should TLPG change his signature? One post in how long?

Melbourne didn't tank. They did cheat, but they didn't tank. Anyway, the problem goes back a lot further than just this recent farce. Melbourne have been crap kickers more or less since they screwed Norm Smith all those years ago.

I disagree with TLPG. Neeld is the wrong coach for Melbourne right now. For all the crap he was dished at the Crows, Craig's the right man for the time being.

Melbourne tanked to high hell and back. We all know that...well not the dummies but the rest know what happened. Now Roos will head down there and try and clean things up..I worry though the culture of the club has gone so far in the wrong direction that melbourne may never see success again.

And TLPG should change his signature. He is connnnnnstantly scanning this site...constantly. Then, when something topical to him comes up he signs on in with his old login (he very likely has a clone identity in here today) and gives us all a spray.

Well TLPG tried telling some big porkies on here and when questioned by me and others decided to take his ball and leave. All the chump had to do was be a man and admit he was making it all up. Never to return he said, like I said you can't believe a word he said.

There are porkies all over the Fight Club, Brainiac! Do tell us what your real problem is with this guy instead of dancing around it huh? Prove that he's up there with Dave and the other pork pie providers! Let's hear it!
