wow
just wow
& that's NSWRL & ARL too
105 years
best ever =D> =D> =D>

almost 1000 a game ahead of its 2012 Average at well ova 17,000 a game at round 11

Origin may see a decline ova the next 6 weeks ... may
but then the run into the finals in this wonderfully unpredictable comp will see a big rise in the final weeks

just great too see
great to see

meanwhile a silly little sport south of the border continues to draw crowds in

one city
one state
one country

That's great...maybe the goal of 20000 will be achievable. I think that silly little sport is the main sport in more than one city or state ... But you know that lol

Doubt it. The decline during SoO is just around the corner. Also did you see their crowds this week? 90,058 all up with an average of 11,257. The nRL is a disgrace to professional sport in Australia.

I agree that the nrl do need to get more professional ... And I think that the unprofessional nature of some aspects of the code trickle right down to junior levels from my conversations with dads that have brought their kids over to playing AFL ... The difference is quite stark apparently, however growing the crowd, however small, is one positive , if course we would need to see a distinct trend over a few years. Agree, under 100000 for an entire round is very poor

Keep telling yourself that dave and you'll be happy.
The rl site I see has the nrl 232 down on last year's average.
The nrl always comes out strong but fades as the season progresses only to rise again near the end of the season.
There is always a major dip in nrl crowds before and especially after SOO as punters reflect on the obvious gap between nrl and SOO. Last nrll round's crowd would be a huge worry.
But if you're happy dave, then I'm happy.

I just did the maths and round 1-11 2012 averaged 17185 (84 matches) compared to this year at 17140 (88 matches) or an average of 45 less people per game (round 10 in 2012 had 7 matches and round 11 had 5 matches so 4 less matches in 2012 with a slightly higher average). Unfortunately its just not growth. What did RD say? Up by a 1000. I think he needs to look again a little more deeply.

2012 after round 11 : 17185
2013 after round 11: 17140

Normal RD thread. Thread is fail.

Pretty sure they're comparing this year to this time last year. Looks like the nRL is now gone from stagnant to declining...

New Zealand 22546
New South Wales 19019

Kindly do not label AFL as one city, one state, one country, again, Raider Dave. Because you are not correct.
