Good crowd made up of almost entirely giants supporters.
You've been carrying on about how the giants home games are made up of mainly oppositions supporters. Well this game gave us a look at their real following in Canberra and they must be pretty happy, especially in their second year =D> =D>

pretty close to to a raider size crowd a team that is based in Canberra & had 22 years to grow its supporter base in canberra,
the suns and giants have only been round for a few years, given that they are both on bottom of the ladder, only won a few in their history & both arn't based in Canberra. its a pretty good turn out.
wonder what might happen when they might win more than 1 game this year!

I would have to agree the AFL would be disappointed with a crowd this size. I think 9 to 10 thousand would be the benchmark. That's even low for nrl really. Do you think they put the two games too close together ?

Not sure why you think its dissapointing. The reality is the suns would have had few fans travel for this game so this was a good indication of number of canberras giants fans. As Adam says, only a few thousand off a typical raiders game.

I'll school ya Like I did Drac
4000 yesterday ... 3500 of them their members & the rest ..500 freebies used
they attempted to hand out 3000 freebies & couldn't give em away
& the more important thing
the Midgets were as woeful as ever .... horrid , just pathetic
& it appears this will be what & who they are for most of 2013 ....
& 2014 will at best be a minor improvment
people will not waste their hard earned on this mob certainly for a casual look ... & nor for a membership
5000 Canberrans signed up last year
3500 in 2013
2014.... 2500 ?
see a trend forming here cockhead
If they are abottom 4 team in 2015.... well the VFL will shudder to imagine what some of the crowds down here will look like
ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

And this, to a game where they actually had a chance of winning...
GWS, officially on struggle street. What have the AFL done! They coulda put a team in tassie, but no. They coulda put a team in Darwin, but no. They ignored their heartland in the face of some trumped up idea that Western Sydney/Canberra would be the place for making heaps of dollars...and...thought putting a pack of teenagers and an ex NRL player on the deck to get smashed week in week out would be somehow appealing for the Sydney and Canberra folk...millions upon millions of dollars spent...
Phelpsy's on the right track with disappointing, but I'd suggest this is turning into a national sporting embarrassment the likes we've never seen before in this country.

Gws have 70% of the support of the raiders after only 18 months, and the majority of games played in Sydney
