Well, lets compare ANZAC day for both codes. Both had an afternoon game on FTA in heartland, and an evening game on PTV in an expansion market. Fair comparison?

AFL:
Total crowd: 93k + 22k = 115k
Total TV ratings: 940k FTA metro + 313k FTA regional + 386k PTV + 346k PTV = 1.985m


NRL:
Total crowds: 40k + 26 = 66k
Total TV ratings: 531k metro FTA + 354k regional FTA + 306 PTV = 1.191m


Can anyone explain this massive win by the AFL? didnt Dave tell us the NRL would smash the AFL in ratings on ANZAC day this year because their game was on FTA?

I'm not going back through months of posts to find one thing that you said which you know you said. It was said when we were discussing the new TV rights and you mentioned that for the first time the nRL's ANZAC Day game will be on FTA tv, and said it would beat the AFL's ANZAC Day game ratings.
