Rebels clearly more popular in Melbourne when it comes to crowds. Why is that?

Yep crowds and membership numbers for the two codes tell you that much. Why is it that the Rebels can attract crowds that the Storm can't at the very same home ground/stadium?Striker wrote:Clearly? Do explain yourself better than that!
the Rebels first 2 crowds in 2013Beaussie wrote:Rebels clearly more popular in Melbourne when it comes to crowds. Why is that?

Plus the fact the NRL is on FTA while the RU isnt.piesman2011 wrote:You could also argue that with the Storm's recent success that they are on a bandwagon high of support. Compare that with the Rebels who have struggled every season, that would also be a tick in the favour of the Rebels with a similar amount of support with no bangwagon as of yet.

the storm had an advert age of 12,685 per game in the home and away season=D>
so going buy those figures the storm and rebels are par.
considering the rebels where only founded in 2010, & the storm 1998, you could say that the rebels have generated a great deal of interest in 3 years as to the storms 15.
with all of the storms success, & the endless useless articles the herald sun (news limited) runs on them to generate interest some interest, is further proof most people dont give a shit about the storm or the nrl, in melbourne

memberships ?
how many members do the Rabble have cockhead ?
Overall popularity across the nation sure, but we're comparing RU and RL in Melbourne. Clearly the RU are more popular despite not being on FTARaiderdave wrote:Xman wrote:Plus the fact the NRL is on FTA while the RU isnt.piesman2011 wrote:You could also argue that with the Storm's recent success that they are on a bandwagon high of support. there'd be a reason for that
