" the NRL is a long way ahead of the VFL when it comes to the whole All Stars concept , I mean . the VFL's is a very pale imitation of the wonderful event the NRL put on "

the NRL All Stars match was played before 41,201 fans in Brisbane last night at the end of a week of celebration & interaction with indigenous communities
=D> =D> =D>

the Indigenous All Stars belted the NRL all Stars 32-6 in a wonderful exhibition of Rugby League

the VFL's pale imitation ... was a snorefest played infront of 8,350 bored to death fans in Alice Springs

AFL fans are over rep games. Their clubs are 100 times more important.

The AFL Premiership season is the real deal, fuck rep games. If the nRL want to risk players getting injuried and missing their amateur league premiership season just so the league can make a bit more money through hosting irrelevant rep games, then good for them.

I want to see what happens when the AFL actually promote theirs and put it on at a decent venue, not a back block like the Alice! Anyone see the example of who's racist here I wonder?

This is what happens.

The AFL became to professional and out grew the meaningless concept of SoO.

I would expect that from a lack brain like you, X! If the AFL were serious about combating racism they'd play the game at Etihad!! With full pomp and circumstance like the NRL does! But no, they hide it away in the middle of nowhere. That clear enough for you?

Oh dear! So they wouldn't play the game in the remote regions like the Alice and Darwin, where they don't usually see AFL games, yet provide many indigenous AFL players, and have a higher proportion of indigenous citizens than Melbourne?

What the f are you on about?

If it's such a great area, how come they didn't pull the same crowd they pulled at Suncorp last night? Because it was a shit venue that's why! Play it at a venue that people want to go to and watch the indigenous sportsmen playing the sport! Don't hide it away! Hell, the AFL game never even got TV coverage!!

Hmm the dreamtime at the g pulls 80k.

The indigenous all stars game is an exhibition game and is played infront of the audience who would appreciate it the most, especially since it often includes local players.

Are you saying that every indigineous AFL player comes from Alice Springs?? Dreamtime is a club game so it doesn't count.

The Dreamtime game is played in honor of the indigenous Australians contribution to Australian Rules Football. It most definitely counts. A game fr premiership points means far more than an exhibition preseason game, especially in the AFL.

No it doesn't because neither of the teams is 100 percent indigenous!
