on top of being licensed & gaming moguls
the Raiders are now entering the property game with an ambitious developement that will earn them tens of millions in the coming years
as of today , new land leasing & licensing laws in the ACT mean they can now put in a submission to the Govt to re zone the land they control & have a club on ATM on the city side of their ovals in Braddon ( adjacent to the city) to develop it into a high rise residential development that will be worth a squillion when completed. They simply move the poker machines in the club to their other clubs in Canberra.
And while the ovals behind this development are not in the plans at the moment , I think down the track they eventually will be with an even bigger high rise residential development to go on top of them worth even more to the Raiders.
The ovals will be relocated with a new playing venue constructed elsewhere for Junior RL to be played.
Wow , just wow
The Raiders could end up being the wealthiest football club of any code in this country they way they are going
such a business minded attitiude in the clubs boardroom , forward thinkers , driven ... ambitious
what a Club =D> =D> =D>
then we have the board of Poort Poweroutage
they couldn't organise a root in a cat house

The raiders as a club and business may have a turnover of 60 odd million but their business costs are huge leaving them with a paultry 12 million to spend on their football club. Laughable in the extreme.
But while we're comparing them to the power, interesting the raiders have around half the members and crowds despite finishing in the finals.
A real powerhouse these raiders!

the raiders football club & business's are the same thing
they continue to bank money , to invest .... to expand their interests ... to make even more money , whilst having the smallest average attendance in the NRL , in the smallest market , with no multinational corporations in our city , with hardly any FTA coverage , struggling to get much backing from sponsors ... they just continue to roll in dough ... they are an amazing franchise
meanwhile VFL clubs continue to lose money hand over fist ... just extraordinary financial failure with so many of their teams
if poort poweroutage & the wions ( just 2 examples ) have proved anything
its you can have members & attendees
they do not guarantee you of financial stability ..... smart people running your club do
Raiders ..... a financial example to all
poort powerfailure .... also a financial example to all .... but

.. for a whole different reason

Your idea of an amazing franchise is one with an average crowd of 10k, a football budget of a paltry $12m and pathetic losses of $200,000?
Please remember that AFL clubs are not-for-profit as well.

Despite the raider business arm making decent revenue they only make a few million profit. Therefore the raiders still rely on the nrl and act grants, and even then they make a small loss despite a minuscule budget.
Even teams like port make double to triple the revenue of the raiders. Theyll get costs under control while the raiders look to business income to make up from their dismal fta tv exposure.

you mean like Whorethorns turnover of .... 45 Million
& a paltry 1.2 Million profit
take out the VFL's grant of 11 million .... & what do we have ?
seriously give up marcus ..... you have no debating skills & are quite unintelligent
shooting you down is easier then shooting fish in a barrell
