soccer .. about 350K

our games are watched by 50 Million Sydneysiders on FTA & another 25 Million on pay
soccer ... about 7 Million

Drac, dodgy dave is only concerned about AFL. Obviously soccer is much bigger in rl heartland than rl!!!

Like your theory Drac however I would have to say that there is much more support for RL in Sydney. You could argue that the passionate supporters go to the game and that there are much more RL supporters going to the games then Soccer supporters. About 160K per round for RL compared to 38K per round for Soccer. Even if you created 8 more Soccer clubs in Sydney I couldnt see them getting more then 75K per week to the Soccer.

And once again Pies is the only AFL fan on this site with a bit of sanity.

On what basis, participation?

Money, crowds, TV ratings and Fox all a big win to the NRL in Sydney.

Wait so now union has higher aggregate crowds? One team that plays 9 games has a higher aggregate than the Swans and Giants combined? I don't think so. Raiderdave speaking out of his arse again...

Aggregate crowds are stupid when you have 4 codes each with a different amount of matches. That's why average crowds are important, and in this category the nRL fails badly.
