Ive no idea wtf you are on about any more.

New stadium will almost always boost attendances. It did at Adelaide Oval, it did at Optus Stadium, it did at Kardinia Park...why would Bankwest be any different.

In any case, look at the revenue for gate and membership - it literally doubled in the space of a year. and just declared a new membership record again. And the rest is irrelevant bullshit.
The old Parramatta stadium wasn’t that bad a place an all seater and wasn’t to old!

New stadiums are being built all the time and will effect averages

For a club to average 12k since 1957 then all of a sudden jump up to 20k will not stay there for long
Famous last words pal lolololol!!!!!!! I will remind you of this post at some stage I'm sure!!!!!!!

as the final game got a 20k plus crowd you ignore the rest of the games that were played there that season and how they fell away

you claim it isn't the new stadium
the minnows eels average 12871 at their game games since 1957
they averaged 11175k in 2018
14346k in 2017
14346k in 2016
13929k in 2015

and with a brand new stadium their average magical bumps up yet you claim it isn't the stadium :(/

talk about denial and stupidity :(/ :)))

If they have a good start to the season I think 30k is very reachable .

You never know, done right and it'll be a hard place to get a ticket if you're not a member.

Well being 3.5k off capacity right now would suggest it is very possible.

This VIrus will have a huge impact on the AFL more so than the NRL.

if memberships have to be refunded

the AFL will suspend games and play later I reckon. But yes, given the significant revenue made from gate takings and less so for NRL given low crowd averages. However maybe it is a club by club thing as Broncos would certainly miss the revenue from crowds given crowds actually go to their games at home.

Would there be insurance for this type of thing? I would feel the AFL at least would be astute enough to have such a thing paying the premium for the high level of cover such as natural disasters, pandemics, acts of god etc.

I am not too sure if the AFL can "just Play later"

as they do not know when this virus will decline.

could be waiting a while.

I suspect all codes will continue playing games in empty Stadiums to fulfill their broadcast obligations. If games were cancelled I'm not sure what would happen with the broadcast monies.

As an aside: the ban is on crowds over 500. Does that mean each game could have 499 people in attendance? They could maybe run lotteries for members. Or run auctions and sell the tickets to the highest bidders.

This stupid hysteria will die down in about a month. People think it’s a death sentence when it’s just a variant cold. Unless you are elderly and susceptible to stuff like this anyway there’s no need to worry.

Good point... and they could allocate 499 to each section or dedicated area

been a few clubs asking supporters to Support club throughout this time to stick by memberships.
while also stating you can ask for a refund.

Gees.
anyone know how much clubs make from Memberships per year..
I assume the AFL would be triple the NRL's
