Brumbies won the GF in the mid 2000's and they closed off a heap of streets expecting a party like the Raiders had when they won the GF, only 200 people turned up.

When the Raiders won, the whole city was rockin, all the country towns around the ACT hit the piss for a week.

I remember parts of it well, the other parts not so much

Because I grew up 80kms away from Canberra, I was around and old enough to remember when the Raiders came in and most of my family is either living in the ACT or come from there.

And there's the fact that a lot of country folk around the ACT switched teams when the Raiders came in, I've met hundreds over the years. (quite a few old Newtown supporters amongst them)

What do you know about the Raiders, their support and what the feeling is towards them from the locals seeing as you live so close and have studied them for years?

Haha, poor Raiders will go no where this year membership wise of playing wise.

They made the finals this season, so that means they miss the top 8 next year as that has happened every year since the SL war.

Sorry Raider, but you would already know this deep down

They never go anywhere membership wise, so Raiderdave will not be surprised by their paltry 2013 membership take up.

The Raiders will get there very soon, they have a massive side with talent everywhere, they keep getting key injuries at the beginning of the year which makes them play catch up from the start, they'll get their good run soon enough and when they do, you watch the crowds turn up from all over the ACT and regional areas, the team is chock full of young guys from all parts of the NSW bush.

There time will come.

Will their average crowd be able to break the seemingly impossible 15k barrier?
