Lions and he swans have a good membership base in Melbourne.
anyone denying that you just have to look at games
when they play at the MCG or Marvel.

Re: Fight Club - Football Club Memberships
Am sure I read somewhere that the Lions have about 3,000 members in Melbourne, whilst the Swans are closer to 10,000. Very good away support when each club has to play in Melbourne that's for sure.leeroy*NRL* wrote: ↑Wed May 19, 2021 2:45 pmLions and he swans have a good membership base in Melbourne.

Re: Fight Club - Football Club Memberships
Comparing memberships is a useless metric!!! It's ingrained in the fumbling game. If you're not a member of a club in fumble land you get ostracised and shunned by society!!! The bubble dwellers treat ya like a leper!!!
In RL land it's just a casual thing. It's not life or death like it is deep inside the southern bubble.

Re: Fight Club - Football Club Memberships
memberships pretty much came into Rugby league in the 2009 season where there was suddenly a push.
beforehand it was non existent.
it came in when the stress of leagues clubs finances started to be reduced.. and clubs looked at it as an addition revenue stream.
i could honestly say if leagues clubs were not effected.
rugby league prob still would not have a membership base as at present.

I have been an occasional member of an AFL club, I have never been ostracised or shunned by anyone for not being a member.Terry wrote: ↑Sat May 22, 2021 2:07 pmComparing memberships is a useless metric!!! I have only been asked if I’ve been a member when someone can’t go to a game and wants to lend me their ticket.
Another Terry attempt to inflame the masses?

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I assure you, it's much more serious than that.The_Wookie wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 2:10 pmdid you have a fucking brain meltdown? heaps of people arent members, fuck i barely know any members. I havent been a club member for years.

Re: Fight Club - Football Club Memberships
I like how big Melbourne club members were last year even with pretty much no games in 2021 and 2020
I wonder if they are also rolling these members over into 2022 season
