Looks like they're matching it with the Storm then.

Funny thing is:
- the storm have played in 6 GFs and won 4, while the Giants haven't made the top 16
- the storm have been playing for over 15 years and the giants just 1
- the storm are Melbournes only nRL team, while the giants are Sydneys second AFL team

Lulz all round!

GWS average higher crowds than the Wanderers you tool. Half of the crowd were Sydney FC fans in the derby and the Wanderers lost again. Their next home crowd will be below 10k for sure, but probably still bigger than some of Penrith's shockers of recent seasons.

GWS after 2 games compared to the Wanderers after two games is what I was comparing, the same point that Drac has been making.

There would have been more Giants fans in their derby than Wanderers fans at the soccer derby.

not exactly a comprehensive thrashing by the Panthers lol. Sydney FC will smash the Giants' crowd average this year, and the way they're travelling, will probably do the same to a number of nRL clubs. Wanderers will be interesting. They've had the biggest game they're going to have, just as the Giants had at the same stage. They'll want to score a goal fairly soon or risk seeing fans fall away a bit. Their first home crowd of 10k is a good start, and something to build on. It's similar in size to the Giants' core supporter base.

I think the Giants' first year effort was solid off the field. They've built a nice foundation of support that will hopefully grow as the team finds some on-field success. They've a cracking stadium and some fantastic young talent. Good times ahead.

Apparently the Giants will be playing a night game or two in Canberra next year. Hopefully the AFL schedule it early in the season as the temperature at night in winter in Canberra is regularly below freezing. Given that Skoda is unavailable in the first few rounds of the season, this should fit in well. The Giants have requested to play Essendon in the night fixture and it should sell out.

38203 Greater Western Sydney v Sydney Sydney Swans Home game really.... =D>

11887 Greater Western Sydney v Essendon

9128 Greater Western Sydney v Western Bulldogs

8603 Greater Western Sydney v Gold Coast

8102 Greater Western Sydney v Collingwood

7669 Greater Western Sydney v Adelaide

7561 Greater Western Sydney v Melbourne

7538 Greater Western Sydney v Richmond

6875 Greater Western Sydney v West Coast

6811 Greater Western Sydney v Port Adelaide

6696 Greater Western Sydney v North Melbourne

Now those numbers are especially worrying when you take out the Historic 2 year promotion of the first game and the fact that most these fans were Swans supporters... :-k

They wouldn't be worried in the slightest. They would have expected these crowds all along.

Yes they are King, you see a pattern here?....

No they are not, they are just high to low.

The true average for the Midgets is about 8k mark without that First game against Swans, of which 33k would have been Swans fans. So really it should look like this.

6203 Greater Western Sydney v Sydney

11887 Greater Western Sydney v Essendon

9128 Greater Western Sydney v Western Bulldogs

8603 Greater Western Sydney v Gold Coast

8102 Greater Western Sydney v Collingwood

7669 Greater Western Sydney v Adelaide

7561 Greater Western Sydney v Melbourne

7538 Greater Western Sydney v Richmond

6875 Greater Western Sydney v West Coast

6811 Greater Western Sydney v Port Adelaide

6696 Greater Western Sydney v North Melbourne
