& you need to remember
it has nothing to do with what one earns .... its what one earns , up against what one spends
& the VFL spends ..4 times .. what the NRL does

our profit .. which is the only thing that is important
is probably the same as the VFL's presently

& next year when our TV revenue more then doubles ...our profits will be bigger
we don't have 2 mill stone clubs around our neck draining the coffers & that have destroyed the standard of the comp , along with about 6 others who can't make ends meet either & aren't much better on field ...
no
despite increasing our club grants & the salary cap ..... we will be paying a lower % of revenue to these 2 areas of expenditure .. then we do now , & have 16 clubs that are of exellent quality.

Dont talk economics mate your not smart enough. Both codes are non profit organisations therefore profit margin does not come in to play. The afl spend 3 times the money because they have it.And as with all organisations there would be an emphasis on viability and growth. We are more than viable and you can see the growth. Now compare this to leagues much smaller pie. They have more money granted but nearly all of this will be used to eradicate club debt and make sure the guys are paid decent amounts for professional players. You are still 100's of millions behind what the afl spends in developing the game and where are you going to find the short fall Dave.In those whopping crowds or maybe with the extra exposure more advertising.Thats right you didnt get any.  Even where you live there are 11 development officers compared to 2 and we dont even have a team there. NRL decades behind.

How does it you moron explain to me.It is all about expenditure Dave. They spend what they have.Expansion is expenditure. You have to have the money to do it.It doesnt weaken an organisation DICKHEAD.It makes it stronger. The NRL cant afford it simple. We get bigger you don't. This raises revenue dave to match rising expenditure Dave.Your expenses are rising Dave and you dont improve your bottom line for another 5 years at least. If you value a business Dave it is valued on turnover and its ability to grow. The NRL is pepsi dave. Now go have a coke.

The AFL earned about 80m in the final series from ticket sales. Multiply that by 5 years, plus inflation and there's the money for expansion.

The NRL will need to bank roll clubs for extra grants, plus pay the players significantly more. Remember, the AFL earns 3 times what the NRL does from non TV sources.

So, again, the AFL GF was the highest rating sport in Australia and even including NZ =D> despite not even being shown in PT
The AFL earned about 80m in the final series from ticket sales
8-[ .....
80m ?......less then 540,000 people attended the 9 VFL finals in 2012 ( down 75,000 on 2011) so that'd be ... $150 for every single ticket sold to every man women & child ... :-
about 80,000 MCG members attended the 5 finals games played there was well ..... so thats only about .. 460,000 paying customers
so that ticket price has gone up to ...almost $175 a ticket :?

wanna let go of yr d.ick for a sec & re think that statement
yes, not all from ticket sales alone. But the GF alone was about 50M.

wow you really are THAT stupid!

As I have said before, someone who earns 500k a year and saves 1k is FAR FAR better off than someone who earns 2k a year and saves 1k.

If you have the money you can spend it, especially if youre a non profit organisation. The NRL have little money for expansion, marketing, stadiums, grass roots game development etc etc. But at least they save a buck.

Ok for our economics major student here

answer this

on Monday ...Bob has $10 to spend on lunch .... spends $9 on a nice salad roll & an apple juice
Frank has only $5 to spend .... gets a peanut butter sandwich & a water .. for $3
they do this for all 5 working days

who's better off financially at weeks end
who has more money at the end of the working week ?

thing is
in 2013 the NRL will have $8 to spend .... but will only spend $5

I seriously need to speak to your professor
might be time for you to look at other areas for a career ...anyone got a broom

1) There's a difference between 'spending' money and 'investing' money. We're investing in our game's future growth. Dismiss GWS and the Suns all you want, whether they fail or succeed, the intention is investment. That's something the NSWRL haven't done in a loooong time.

2) You're right, you don't have 2 mill stone clubs and 6 who can't make ends meet, you have 14 (15 if you include the one being propped up by a mining billionaire)

oh F me swinging ... is that the best you've got

one guy has fiscal responsibility ...mainly because its been forced on him & when his financial situation changes he will not go nutz as he knows the value of a dollar
the other guys costs are out of control
F me he wouldn't know where its going ... but one day ... it will catch up on him as he will have a bill for high priced hookers from across the border
( thuns & midgits) that he has to pay ahead of the school fees for the kids ..that he now can't pay .. & his wife ( traditional VFl clubs & their fans ) won't be too pleased

but he tells her its a long term plan & that the hookers are getting teaching degrees & will one day they'll teach their kids for free 8-[

& the stupid b.itch falls for it :-k

you really wish that was true don't you
some of the losses incurred by NRL clubs are chicken feed ...
the debt of all the NRL clubs combined would be equivalent to about 3 of those being carried by the 12 VFL clubs who were in the red in 2011
I read somewhere recently that VFL clubs were in debt to the tune of 48 Million dollars all up & its getting worse ... not better

you have clubs turning over 50 Million ... but making profits a fish & chip shop would blush at
its on a knifes edge
one bad year for a club with turnover like this .. & it starts a ball rolling thats hard to stop

& every year in the VFL .. profits fall ... whilst losses & costs keep going up
its a perfect storm of fiscal problems on the horizon

the NRL will end the debt of its clubs in one foul swoop .... & then look the F out
we're coming to get ya

You're not coming to get anyone 'till at least 2018, and even then you're looking to expand into QLD. Explain to me how putting a team in QLD is 'coming to get' the AFL?

As to the great Perth offensive, the greatest weapon a new team has in th ebattle for bums on seats is being the shiny new novelty. Problem for you guys is that in 2018 there's going to be a bigger, shinier new novelty in town:

http://www.perthstadium.com.au/index.php?id=97

Subiaco currently can't meet demand, you had a golden opportunity to offer Perth sports fans who can't currently get a ticket to the AFL an alternative, but instead, the brave ARLC decided a better plan of attack was to stabalise juggernaut clubs like Cronulla, Penrith and Manly. Talk about missing the boat =D>

When you 'come at' us in Perth in 2018 you'll now be up against two teams activly trying to sell additional memberships to fill a 60k seat stadium, rather than their current sleepy state of merely putting people on their membership waiting lists.

just look at the..what did I call em :-k .... oh yeah ... stupid.. b.itches in here

they believe everything they're told
without question ...

we don't need to .. take you on in Perth ... our back yard is where we will fight first
we've been impossible to oust with barely a cent to our name
just imagine how we'll go when we're cashed up
& we aren't gunna play nice
nah when I said we're coming to get you .. it was where our new found wealth will get a result unlike yours

your code is continuing to p.iss its wealth up against the wall in NSW & QLD for what will be next to no gain in the end

30 years of this same activity has delivered the VFL.. ... really nothing more then 2 struggling clubs who have despite being handed .. 5 premierships....still not scratched the surface of main stream support in these states

these next 2 clubs who they're spending even more on ... will be the their undoing
Vlad is playing the fiddle while the V FL burns
..with its tanking & its clubs in its heartland having one arm tied behind their backs & told to box on against its teams in NSW & QLD who have both their arms & a knife too
I mean the leg up the midgits & thuns ... & even the premiership winning swines still get after the 30 years ..is astounding
( just give the midgits 2 extra players on the field & be done with it  ) it leaves this joke of a comp openly uneven
souless & lacking in integrity
but please .. continue ... its what we want the VFL to keep doing =D> =D> =D>

& its a joy to watch
