Hmm the thread title is Football Crowds and when the winner by a massive margin is the AFL in Sydney, the tv ratings line is trotted out.
Why won’t NRL fans attend games and support their teams. So embarrassing. lol

Parramatta could have been full to the brim
& that crowd would have represented less then 10% of the total number of eyeballs watching in Sydney
meanwhile the drops & giggles crowd represented more then 33% of everyone watching
support is thin
wafer thin for the bumbling game from Vicderpia in Sydney

Parramatta vs North Queensland @Commbank Stadium - 14,810

AFL is more than just a niche sport in Sydney.
A crowd of over 36000 is pretty impressive, nothing niche about that !
If I was an NRL fan I would be utterly ashamed and embarrassed about the commbank crowd figure because
You just lost the argument
Now you can wave your white flag !

I wish AFL had something like state of origin. It's legit one of the premier sports events in the world. Up there with Champions league final. The fact that's it's representative might make it the best sports event on earth.

Used to, and then they didn't, they were big, and then they weren’t.
Where do you think Rugby League got the idea from?

How did your State of Origin sellout go in Adelaide? Hmm, thousands short of anywhere near a sellout right? lol
Club games in the AFL get bigger crowds than RL State of Origin. Now that let that sink in.
