Gabba sellout? Nice :thumbleft:

EDIT: just saw Wookie’s tweet in the feed here. Brisbane will be buzzing on Friday night.

That's awesome that Brisbane can embrace both codes so well. So glad this place, with the petty childish antics of NRL people here where AFL seems to live rent free in their heads, is largely confined to here.

Luckily most league fans do not share the bizarre attitudes of those on this forum.

Capacity for the Gabba for AFL is listed as 36,000.
The last 2 games were reported as sell outs with about 32,000.
Ground looked packed both times.
Where are the other 4,000 seats?

Yeah I don’t get that too. Gabba looked packed again last night for sellout.

Shame bout the result for both Brisbane clubs though. Smashed from start to finish in both codes by dominant Melbourne teams.

dreadful at Suncorp
The Storm just toyed with the Broncos ... made them look as bad as they were in the last few years

the ramifications could be catastrophic for Brisbane too
the damage done physiologically could be fatal for this very young Broncos side , They have a vitally important clash next Thursday with Parramatta at suncorp & a loss could see them vulnerable to missing the 8 entirely , but a loss for the eels could have them in the same boat
The Raiders are on both their heels ...
its an elimination final come early

The Lions (and the Suns) shoot themselves in the foot at the most inconvenient opportunity.

On Geelong and Collingwood - the grass roots is up in arms over the partial clash with local finals. The fact that is sold out will give the grass roots a chance to say "Okay you missed out so come and see us".

I'll be surprised if the Gabba game doesn't sell out as well.

I'll be on the lookout for Queensland's own Ash Barty holding a beer in her hand again like she did in 2020 for her Tigers! That was funny as!
