Fair crowd of 10000 at Giants stadium to witness a big win by GWS over Essendon.
They went out with a bang for the last home game, a treat for their fans.

Here is some Giant Stadium attendance figures for this year.
Not all bad.

Strangers in a strange land.

The most recent clubs formed in “enemy territory) attendance figures for home games where played in their base city. GWS includes Manuka games.

Storm Average 18,263
Suns Average 14,571
Giants Average 10,136

Date Day Team Attendance Stadium Rnd
30/06/23 Friday Storm 26,829 Marvel 18
25/04/23 Tuesday Storm 23,469 AAMI. 8
01/07/23 Saturday Suns 22,483 Carrara 16
28/07/23 Friday Storm 20,429 Marvel 22
11/06/23 Sunday Storm 20,253 AAMI. 15
05/08/23 Saturday Giants 19,332 Giants 21
19/08/23 Saturday Suns 19,253 Carrara 23
26/08/23 Saturday Storm 18,072 AAMI 26
13/08/23 Sunday Storm 17,369 AAMI 24
11/03/23 Saturday Storm 17,248 AAMI 2
06/04/23 Thursday Storm 16,323 AAMI 6
11/05/23 Thursday Storm 16,043 AAMI 11
18/03/23 Saturday Suns 14,483 Carrara 1
25/06/23 Sunday Suns 14,242 Carrara 14
29/07/23 Saturday Suns 14,097 Carrara 20
24/06/23 Saturday Storm 13,190 AAMI 17
15/07/23 Saturday Suns 13,015 Carrara 18
02/04/23 Sunday Suns 12,452 Carrara 3
24/03/23 Friday Storm 11,669 AAMI 4
06/05/23 Saturday Suns 11,440 Carrara 8
19/08/23 Saturday Giants 10,281 Giants 23
06/05/23 Saturday Giants 10,039 Manuka 8
23/07/23 Sunday Giants 10,026 Manuka 19
04/06/23 Sunday Giants 9,723 Giants 12
01/04/23 Saturday Giants 9,691 Giants 3
23/04/23 Sunday Suns 9,672 Carrara 6
22/04/23 Saturday Giants 9,057 Manuka 6
08/07/23 Saturday Giants 9,007 Giants 17

19/03/23 Sunday Giants 8,169 Giants 1
21/05/23 Sunday Giants 7,508 Giants 10

Now as shown storm got the highest crowd and when considering that it was played at the oval shaped marvel stadium an excellent result….excepting..
This is the game I went to, and when they announced the crowd as nearly 27,000 I was dumbfounded. Having been to Marvel many times I thought it would be lucky to be 12,000.
Having attended the North Hawthorn game a couple of weeks later, which had an attendance of about 30,000, I revised my storm estimate to maybe 8,000 if I squint a bit.
Take it as you may but the only time the storms crowd was 27,000 was in the reportings and they were way way way out.
There are lies, damn lies and then there are ratings.
Rugby league, Australias most popular game in some of North Eastern Australia.

as if we would take anything a deluded fumbler says about crowds as gospel      :(/ :(/ :(/

Midgets actual average
4400.... 75% away fans attending

Thuns
about 8800 , about 66% away fans for this lot

fudging filth [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X [-X

The Storm average
accurate , another 18000 there yesterday against the Titans

& if you want a guide on the % of away fans there
take a look at the reaction to Ryan Pappenhausens 18 mins from the finish of the game when he returned to the field after 18 months out with injury
the crowd went nuts

wow
just wow

The last suns game i attended where they played Carlton was the first time I felt that I was at a game in Victoria where you get two teams with vocal crowds. Never seen this to that extent at a Suns' game. Carlton fans would go up in a wave of cheers for a free or goal - and if it missed there was the GC chants and cheers etc. Was very back and forth and added massively to the atmosphere - as said, felt like I was at a game in Victoria. Compared to when the Suns played the Magpies - or it that Flagpies - where crowd was at very least 90 percent Collingwood fans.

Brisbane vs Carlton
Should be a great game
That is Brisbane Lions, I forgot there is another Brisbane team, Brisbane who. ?
Briissy locals will go nuts coz Lions can make the GF.
Lions and Carlton are going to steal a lot of interest from the Broncos that is because a quality
sports event will always shine through.
People will see this for themselves
Sorry to spoil the Broncos party but they don't have the city to themselves anymore.
Brissy locals will jump on board and cheer the Lions.
