rugby league will have the 4 biggest crowds of 2020
we currently have the 2 biggest .. 37303 for the GF & 37119 for the prelim in Brisbane
origins in Sydney & Brisbane should attract similar sized crowds

the AFL's biggest crowd for 2020 remains 32865 in Perth.
To use this years crowd figures for anything other than to demonstrate how badly sport has been affected is....sick, desperate, sad.

Remember most fans were not allowed to attend....therefore attendances were......I’ll let you figure it out

Some states were just poorly managed!
Rugby League, the dominant force in Australian sport!

Yes, I see as each ground can only hold so much. I think the thing there has usually been the nrl struggling to fill there gf and cheap tickets but not sure of the veracity of that.
hahaha
struggling to fill their ground ? hogwash
since the ground was re configured in 2002 , with the exception of 2017 when it was a few thousand short at 79,722 & 2006 79,697
( the shortfall being ,members not turning up )
ANZ has been full for every NRL GF

cheap tickets ... LOL ... utter BS too
every ticket sold was at face value

2020 37303
2019 82922
2018 82623
2017 79722
2016 83626
2015 82758
2014 83833
2013 81454
2012 82992
2011 81928
2010 82568

yeah , looks like they struggle hey :(/ :(/ :(/

I was leaning toward the desperate sales with cheap seats to fill those seats - they do get there in the end - whereas AFL generally hard to get tickets. Whereas Origin - usually a sell-out or near enough - weeks before hand.

Why the change of name again by the way?
change of name from what ?? lol

and there is never a desperate sale of cheap seats , ever
thats an urban myth propagated by fumblers :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/ :(/

lol FRED i don't know mate maybe you are in a bubble.

But if you have not heard Sydney is Under water.
A State of Disaster has been called, Sydneys West is struggling (poor Buggers)
Government has been telling people to stay home since Thursday.
6 of 8 games were played in drenched conditions..
other sports were called off and cancelled.
The Races were even postponed.

I will leave it too that you were holidaying in Port Douglas and were shut off from the world..

So the rain it is...... for this week. Sweepstakes on next weeks excuse. I dare say if Origin was on the crowds would have got there. The risks benefits are such that home and away isn''t worth it I guess.

I will go with for next week - "people out enjoying the sunshine after a week of rain".... . anyway else want to take a punt? Or will we get the old "public transport in Sydney is so poor and roads are bad". That's always a fall back.

nope not at all Fred, Sydney was in crisis mode.

round 3 there will be no excuses, I actually never give excuses for NRL crowds,

just to refresh your mind It has been classed in Sydney as a 1 in a 50 year event
and NSW a 1 in 100 year event.

carry on buddy.

Dude the NRL had 3 crowds less than 5k.

Central Coast
Lottoland
Wollongong
It's pretty pointless talking about crowds this week with the incredible downpour along the east coast. And of course it's totally pointless talking about GWS crowds. I mean............who anywhere believes what they put out!!!!!!!!!!!

easy. Sydney is NRL heartland. NRL should always get bigger crowds than Sydney's second AFL club. Yet the Giant's 5k wasnt the smallest crowd of the weekend
