Well it is about financial viability and linked to that is general community support which the Titans have in spades. The new TV deal for the NRL gives it the same option as the AFL in that a club will only go broke/disappear if they choose not to support it. There is no chance that the NRL will not keep a team on the Gold Coast in a league heartland.

Yeah I agree the issues with the NRL GC clubs in the past was partly to blaim on the NRL being poor. They will have a lot more money now and they do have good community support.

You can't say that with any confidence, Pi! Gee whiz!

Yeah maybe GCS have a good deal with the venue and the Titans don't. It's well known that the Titans have made some shit business decisions, so the right way to go is to get out on their own instead of trying to compete with a better venue. Why mock it? The Titans have cleaned up their messy business dealings are have turned the corner but it's going to take time.

Um, you lot led by the fat merkin Searle wanted a war on the Gold Coast and now you realise you can't win and offer an olive branch to the Suns/AFL. We ought to tell you lot to get stuffed. We won the war on the Gold Coast last year. Things have just got worse for the Titans since. $25 million in debt, fudging crowd numbers, dwindling sponsorship and now... free memberships for any kid that wants one. Desperate times indeed. Can the ARLC fix it??? Good luck.

The Suns turned the corner this year playing a more consistent brand of football winning games and winning fans ( multi generational Queenslanders ).

I will send a white flag to Robina stadium to be raised on their flagpole.

The suns certainly know how to lose games…when they learn how to win, it will be interesting to see if they increase their following.

The Suns have beaten the Titans last round figure, in a home game, at least once, and have come close at Carrara, and time will tell if they do it again.

I'm going to call it, i think Titans will win the battle of the crowds this year..

Titans will play 11 games at Robina 1 game at Suncorp

Suns will play 9 games at Carrara and 2 games in NT

I think you are correct….however my end year (average) figures for Suns v Titans only include home games played at home.

The titans v broncos game will take some catching up, and the suns are not playing well enough to do it at this stage.
As I have said before, the suns really know how to lose a game.
