Ruckmen dont need speed although some such as Natanui and Hampson would run a very good 100m time. I assume that most of the RL props are the same.
Exactly piesman. Hence my assertion that there'd be quite a few RL forwards who'd whip the pants off some AFL players over the 100 is completely correct. And i know this cause i've played and watched plenty of both sports. As per usual, our brainless mod is...Wrong!

Over 20mtrs you may have a chance. Over 100? As stated, most would struggle with the distance!
King-Eliagh: ...I believe [RL] is popular in all the other states and territories, bar tasmania.

NRL Props versus AFL ruckman would be a great novelty race to have. 70metres would be a very fair length for the race.

I was thinking more about the Us V Them mentality of the Sydney media.
Exactly.
Reading the article, AFL want to replace soccer the soccer pitches.
Does rl have a problem with soccer playing on their "hallowed ground"?
Did they protest when soccer was played on their "hallowed ground" or is one English game encouraging another English game?
IMO it's time the contact sports encouraged each other.

Did the media complain when AR returned to the SCG or the showgrounds?
Did the media complain when AR commenced playing on Waverley Oval, the start of Sydney RU?
Those that complain should remember AR is only going to be played there.
It's really up to rl(or any sport) to maintain it's historical links.
Nice try Cos.
