Wow they are in the honeymoon period and that is horrible result considering that they have 8,003 Members, I am thinking that some of these members are from the Swans . GCS got a decent average there first year in the AFL.

This needs to be said. Blacktown is a bad venue for the AFL, and the local fans know it. No one sits on grassy knolls at elite level any more!

Thank you for some honest opinion i totally agree, i mean i pay money to sit down comfortably have a beer and enjoy the game. Imagine it rains they will get 2000 to the game.
If i were a Swans Fan and wanted to attend the game to show my support and i lived in the inner west it would take me at least 1hour 20mins by public transport to get there each way not a great way to spend my time.

Totally agree. I didn't go today based on the venue location. Watch the crowds once Skoda Stadium opens. I'm looking forward to attending GWS games there.

IF
it had been pouring rain today at Blacktown like it was for the 4 NRL games that drew less then the fudged VFL crowd today of about 3500
the crowd would have been 1500

Think it's in Round 9, Saturday 26 May.

Skoda Stadium is the Sydney Showground at Homebush.

You can see from the webcam on the Sydney Showground website that the stadium is close to complete.
