dropping a massive 1.250 Million on the first round ... to 4.041 Million watching the 9 games ... with everyone on FTA within targeted Markets
from 5.298 Mill in rnd 1

the NRL had a wonderful Easter with 3.285 Mill watching our 8 games
with only 3 on FTA

add the usual 1.2 Million regional veiwership to our figures for around 4.6 Million nationally

add the usual 500K to the VFL & they get around the same numbers
but

with an extra game & a lot more FTA coverage then the NRL ............ 8-[

NRL... Numb 1

& 3 FTA games to everyone of the VFL's being shown somewhere in the Country

thats a hammering of the VFL.... by the NRL.... yet .. again

4.6m?

That's just a plain guess isn't it? The AFL won by almost 800k despite having essentially a standard schedule. The NRL had an adjusted schedule to maximize viewers yet still lost!

according to the ratings we've been getting 1.2 Million veiwers on average for our 3 FTA games in the regional areas all season to date
add that to 3.285 Million Metro & Pay veiwers
its 4.585 Million veiwers

a guess

no

the VFL.... even with an extra game ... just can't beat the NRL

So yep, a complete guess. I like the way youve given AFL only 500k regionals for 4 FTA games. Nice try! hahahahahaha

Thanks Raider. Being trained in research and statistical analysis I see no reason to critique your findings and assessment of them. They're sound and tight with all major variables accounted for. Good work mate.

Xman's argument on the scheduled matches is very weak. We all know the real issue is the AFL comps incredibly unbalanced comp. Even if they did schedule the matches, there'd still be 3 - 4 absolute blowouts not worth watching. Their fans will soon click on to it and the ratings and crowds will suffer. The writings on the wall here. I just hope for thew AFL's sake they actually do something about it. Its actually quite sad.

To back up what raider is saying here is a link that actually shows friday games getting 470k in regional ratings, so its more like 1.4 million regional's we should be adding to the total.

http://www.regionaltam.com.au/?page_id=19#
http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/w3s ... 202012.pdf check the regionals on this one 500k

So two live ltargetted games combined on Friday night get 470k regional ratings, and you guys think that will be the same figure for both the delayed non-tagetted Friday game (which rates outside the top 20 FTA), and the Sunday game (which also rates outside the top 20 FTA)?

LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Roy Master showed the average NRL regional ratings per round are 1.2Mil. This includes Finals, SOO, and rep games.

Stop being stupid the lot of you!

Yep, so your estimate is bs as usual.

The afl rnd 2 this year was well over 1 million ahead of rnd 2 last year! Growth right there champ!

Of course it easily accounted for the NRL. Easily!

Firstly they are clearly number one, and by some margin. Secondly, both codes are shown nation wide now. The AFL have the same number of FTA games in to their heartland as last year. What is this massive increase in FTA exposure you are talking about? :-k
