but you'd conservatively say 1.2 to 1.3 Million watched the 3 FTA games ...

Ahhh, thought so! After such a booming Round of footy and the jealous VFL types focussing on crowds I knew there'd be a massive tv audience. On Friday night even Beaussie joined in to be one of those 4.7 million.

an extra 500k was due to there being a prime time Thursday game this year instead of a second Friday game, and the replayed fox game ratings were included.

The rest was due to increased ratings for foxtel. Clearly this was because it was wet enough that fans didn't go to the games, they just sat at home.

so how'd we fare in week 2 where TV ratings are concerned

2,313,000 .... for just SEVEN games
add a minimum 350K for the 8th game ... the Sund arvo game
& our total would be another 400K more then 2011...
