is the NRL
3 upsets already ... nearly 4 out of 5 .. if the Raiders had held on against Melbourne in a thriller
damn that Billy Slater
the Titans .... wow , beating a team many are saying will be a top 4 side in the Cowboys .. in Townsville ... 18-0
who saw that coming
man .... what a year we're in for
meanwhile
the VFL continues to put everyone to sleep ....
even in their **** preseason cup now having the full games being played instead of the mickey mouse shorter versions , that the flogball gumbies say the top teams don't really care about
there hasn't been ONE result that would be considered unexpected
one was called off due to no one giving a s.hit wasn't it
I mean its just Sooooooo predictable
the VFL = ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

And yet as we've seen with the Pay TV ratings, more Australians prefer the AFL when NRL is on at the same time. Go figure eh. lol

And a ripping game on currently also, manly v nz. Who knows who could win this one, the 40k plus crowd is being spoilt rotten out there in nz. I wonder how many they'll get thru the turnstiles when the AFL have a go out there this season...

Careful, Xman. That Essendon St Kilda game was postponed.
There will always be upsets with scores so low. That's not unpredictable. That's predictable.

add the best spectacle there is
seriously did you catch that Warriors V Manly game this afternoon from Auckland .. 40,000 fans
yes a lot of mistakes in the warm sticky conditions
but a pulsating contest
bone jarring defence
9 tries
end to end attack .. crowd roaring their approval right til the end
Manly sneak home to a 26-20 win
another upset ... thats now 4 out of 6
live coverage across Australia on 9
if sports fans in the Sthn States got a look at that .. they'd of been impressed
more please ch 9 they'd be saying
NRL.... just killing it in rnd 1 =D> =D> =D>

VFL has played no games yet.
The real competition begins on March 24 at ANZ.

What game was that? Rugby? What's that?
40k was it? Ahhh no. 37k, just over the average AFL game.

18-0 ain't close. Imagine going to watch your team score zero. What a joke!
Toss a coin for the winner in RL. At least a coin toss would be more interesting.

pandemonium at leichardt this arvo
another unbeleviable encounter between the Comp Favs the Tigers & a side tipped to be bottom 4 in the Sharks in front of a bursting crowd
golden point
the 2nd of the round saw the Tiges get up 17-16
on top of the ripper in NZ... the belter in pouring rain in Canberra yesterday
a gutsy n brave come back by the Dogs last night at penrith
the shock result in Townsville by the Titans .. who are back on the scene
& the spine tingling season opener on Thursday night
what a round
what a game
meanwhile
the VFL continues to be as predictable as dry toast
& half as exciting

And which game pulls the crowds Dave? The "unpredictable yet dreary tacklefest known as rugby, or the more predictable but clearly more exciting Australian game?
This will no doubt be one of the lowest opening round attendance averages for the rugby in years hey?

yr crowds are only going well in the brainwashed mushroom inhabited moronic south
the sad sacks down there wouldn't know a good game if it bit em on the ass
they cheer games between teams tanking .. losing on purpose

.. they just aren't very bright south of the murray .. not very bright at all
in the North all eyes are turning to a far better spectacle ....
i mean seriously ... the 2 games today were as good as sporting spectacles get
the buzz across work places in NSW the ACT & QLD .. & in the school yards tomorrow will be about 1 sport ... & 1 sport only
& we still have a massive grudge match between Souths n the Roosters to come tomorrow night
the NRL smashing it outta the park
lets see what blockbusters we have in store for rnd 2
Friday
Broncos V Cowboys .... wow
Manly V Tigers ... Adam Blair & Glen Stewart lining up against each other for the first time since the battle of brookvale
ooh baby
Sat
Bulldogs V Dragons .... geez

... how many will that draw to ANZ
hubba hubba
whoooo hoooooooo :D
