Add the $343M the AFL earnt in revenue equals $951.3M

Consider the AFL are also earning at least an extra $100M per year for the TV rights from this year, and I'd say thats the Billion right there.

The wookie has added figures for 2011 and the revenue for 13 clubs is $523M (with links). This excludes power clubs like WC Fremantle and Sydney.

West Coast and Fremantle link doesn't work.

951.3m isn't close enough to the billion mark sorry.

The TV rights would be included in the AFL revenue already.

The revenue report in the papers was for last financial year so the TV rights was for last year as well. This years rights revenue will be added for this year and is around $100M extra annually.

If you do a google search for west australian football league financial report 2010 you'll find the pdf. It wont let me link it. These two clubs are very wealthy and would be well above the average revenue of most clubs.

I also havn't included revenue from the Suns and Giants which would be at least 15M each. They have not existed long enough to get an annual report.

Finally, I said close to 1 Billion. If $950M isn't close to 1 Billion I don't know what is.

950 million is 95% of 1 billion. I call that close!

And that's without the extra 100m per year from this years tv rights. Or without the 8% increase in memberships subscriptions the AFL clubs have experienced so far across the board. Or without the suns and giants revenue.

But as your stupid leadership board now clearly displays, you're a biased tool. Very cringeworthy stuff, all the league fans have bs points while none of the AFL ones do, apart from cos which you forgot to mention...
