Sorry, but the BS point has to go to Cos here. He shouldn't have introduced the All Stars came into the argument.

One refinement of the bs system is that the person should be pm'd to know it's on.
I believe I set the criteria and the criteria is quite simple.
The nrl had an aboriginal Vs non aboriginal rl game.
In politically incorrect terminology that's black's Vs white.
Historically, aborigines have been called "blacks" and non aborigines have been called "whites".
This is an indisputable fact.
I don't know why you are attempting to shoot the messenger it's the nrl who had this racist game.
It is a fact that this was a racist game because the nrl are dividing players into aborines and non aborigines.
I am not at fault for purely point out said fact.
As I mentioned in the post, BF had a long discussion about such matches and the overwhelming consensus was that these matches were totally inappropiate in today's world. As such I completely stayed out of the thread dedicated to the match but have only commented when shallow thinking people have suggested that the AFL should have similar.
There is no doubt that this game was racist.
Changing the wording from "black Vs white" to "aboriginal Vs non aboriginal" does not change the racist nature of the game.
Therefore people who support that sort of thing are racist.
and cooee, posting pictures to show that people are physically white or not white is probably one of the most archically racist things I've ever seen. Absolutely pathetic. You might have objected to my choice of words that were chosen for maximum dramatic effect but you really have shown the racist nature of the nrl and now unfortunately you, you who seemed above that sort of thing.
edit:And you have compounded the situation by promoting this to a bs file where it receives even greater attention.
I respected the Mods decision are desisted from further engagement on the respective thread but have been forced
to defend myself in this new forum. You should have done the same.

I think someone challenging a post as BS and indicating they wish the make it in to a BS file should be enough warning to those players involved that it is on.
what does everyone else think.
I think the terminology of your claim in this case was poor and is worthy of a BS point personally.

The person should simply say I have challenged or the challenge has been accepted not just I'm about to.
Because you stepped in, I left the thread alone.

Whether you like the terminology or not, you are shooting the messenger not the culprit.
It's the nrl who had this polically incorrect event.
I believe the AFL decided against doing similar quite some time before this event.
I believe the event is politically incorrect and can't believe it went ahead.
I believe people who support such events and the events themselves belong in the era of the language I used
and I used such language to emphasise how outdated their thinking is.
cooee, I believe has not denied that he is favour of this event.
I have made it very clear that this type of event is politically incorrect, uncalled for in this time and a throw back to the "black Vs white" White Australia days which we all are supposed to be ashamed of.
So who's the racist ?

Agree. My apology. I thought it had been challenged and indicated in the thread.

This is off topic and irrelevant. Whether you or I agree with the concept doesn't matter. You described the game in a way that was innacurate and was challenged by cooee as BS. It is this description you need to justify, not the appropriateness of the game itself.

You said you had a problem with the terminology. I gave a full explanation.
Xman wrote:It is this description you need to justify,
I've already given it.
cos789 wrote:The nrl had an aboriginal Vs non aboriginal rl game.

cooee has chosen to challenge on his purely literal translation of the text.
I have chosen to use the traditional usage, though it maybe politically incorrect in these times
the statement stills stands as technically correct.
I did explain my interpretation and thus that is what it must be taken in the context given
not someone else's interpretation that they didn't bother to correct.
That I believe is the rule of this board.
The nrl indeed had a well publicised aboriginal Vs non aboriginal game.
Traditionally aborigines were reffered to as "backs" and non aborigines were referred to as "whites".
It as simple as that. A throwback to the past.
Don't shoot the messenger for pointing out the racist nature of the game .
I don't like to continually refresh this point but this is the process other people chosen to undertake.
People have chosen to take this path, I made my interpretation quite clear at the time and have repeated it
many times so it up to someone to make a decision by the rules of this bs forum or take alternative action.
If you are really concerned with developments someone should have taken a different path because
even though I believe the aboriganal vs non aboriginal game was totally inappropiate I was preapared not to
indulge this fact shown by my absense from the original thread.

Black v white suggests it was a dark skin v white skin game. It wasn't. It was Indigenous Australian v the rest.

Can you find any evidence where the game was ever called "black v white"?

There's plenty of history of aboriginal teams and tours.
How does this differ from those ?
A throwback to the past.

Worse, the NRL's idea of promoting non-racism this year included staging a blacks vs whites game. Way to go, guys.
