From what I can tell from that thread - 21 thugby clubs, and 74 football clubs playing our great game. That is a THUMPING!

If I did, then so did you. As Cos said, provide a link for that 2,500 number - or it goes down as rubbish.

I gave you the information from the US thread. 21 thugby clubs and 74 footy. Prove it wrong, and meanwhile provide a link for your claim.

Quote:
About Us
Rugby League Norge was formed in 2009 in Oslo, Norway and was given an Official Observer Membership by the RLEF that same year. Its headquarters are in Kjeller, near Lillestrom. In 2010 Rugby League Norge gained acceptance into The Norwegian Olympic Commitee and was officially recognized as a sub branch of The Norwegian Rugby Federation.

Norway commenced domestic and international programmes in 2010, with the former gaining corporate sponsorship as early as 2011, highlighting the celerity with which the game is spreading in the Scandinavian country.

In late 2010 the inaugural RLNorge Board was voted in by members of general assembly to form The RLNB (The Rugby League Norge Board), which is in charge of all facets of rugby league in Norway. In early 2011 RLNorge employed its first paid staff member.

RLNorge runs 2 senior division domestic competitions. The National team, known as “Vikingene”, junior TAG development programmes, and an under-16s development leagueall play Rugby League during different stages of the year. RLNorge clubs range from Tromsø in the far north to Porgrunn in the south, and from Bergen and Stavanger in the west to Fredrikstad in the east. So from humble beginnings Rugby League is covered throughout all of Norway. 2012 has seen a dramatic shift in the popularity of Rugby League in Norway with 2 divisions now being set up. RLNorge also have a great working relationship with all types of media with Rugby League recieving alot of print and visual media exposure which is set to increase in 2012 and 2013.

According to Warren Heilig (Norway RL Founder and Executive Officer) there are 962 registered players. A big effort for only in 3 years!
He has also said that RL teams are not permitted to play RU (After RU gave them a hard time at first, they now want to work with RL).
The Flisbyen Broncos have just been permitted their own home ground with new stands and catering abilities.
