I would very much appreciate any info you can provide on the AFL's Newcastle side.

You're not seriously claiming a victory on the ambiguous use of a term?! ARs is called AFL or ARs daily on here, and elsewhere. What made this claim so different?

Parra loses. In New South Wales, they don't call it AR much anymore. They call it AFL. That's a fact. It's the same in Queensland. Only in NSW and QLD do the AR competitions call themselves "AFL". Such as the Black Diamond AFL - the competition that Parra thinks doesn't exist. He wants to know what the name of the Newcastle AFL club is?

The Newcastle City Blues. First played in 1883, and have played consistently since 1948. Their home ground is the Newcastle No.1 Sportsground - which has hosted Sheffield Shield cricket and is regarded by Novacastrians as their version of the SCG, the MCG etc.
