I suggest you be careful, Dave. Yes you do have a list bigger that AFL's in my opinion, because of the pure numbers. Entire clubs, not just individual players (like Carey, Fevola et al).

And more media coverage means more scrutiny, bollocksing the numbers in the process. It's about time the media put the NRL under a similar level of scrutiny, and maybe now that News Limited is on the outer they'll do it. The Telegraph will be an interesting read in 2012.

ABS figures and ASC figure show ARs have over 2 times the participation rates of RL in Australia. The AFL would have near double the players in Australia compared to NRL listed players too.
