I'm happy with that. The ACT have a RL team and no AFL team so that's a good result for the AFL.

Interestingly on the numbers though, why do the RL teams have 20 players for each team and the ARs teams only have 23.6?

There are 13 players on a RL team and 18 on an AR team. Add subs and the numbers should be comparatively higher for the AFL.

Local RL teams are allowed up to 20 players per team on their books
A guy I know says local AFL teams get about 25 kids per team .. many struggle to get that many

& as for being happy with it
ABS apparently tried to indicate AR was played by more people then RL down this way
I was lauded for not accepting this report
I was right not to
wasn't I

Two issues with your interpretation of those facts.

First, in order to equal the field you must include the Canberra Auskick figures. This will bump the AFL numbers up considerably. This is needed to counter the added U6, U7, U8 and U9 competitions that the CDRL have.

Second, in order to have a viable team a club must run with 30 players on the list per team. So the minimum number of players on your current statistics is not 2600. It is 3300. Yes still behind, but then add the Auskick numbers and it's a lot closer.

our U6's .. 7's , 8's & 9's are all registered as club players
every one of them

they are not part of a school clinic .. or some holiday camp .. & thats the end of their involvement.. like ausfudge players in Canberra
no way in hell should the ausfudge ones be included ... they mean zip.

& as I said
Local AFL teams get by with a lot less then 30 per team
K

Auskick run by the clubs require registration as players with the club. And as I said, in order to have one team there must be 30 players registered. Availability on a week to week basis like what you are talking about is a seperate issue.

ausfudge requires no registration at all
just turn up , & who knows if we'll ever see you again .. ie no commitment
participants should not be included in anything til they commit to a club by paying a registration
its just AFL Bull Honkey

& local AR clubs do NOT have to have 30 players registered at all

Ainslie U12s.... 27 Players
http://www.sportingpulse.com/team_info. ... 40&a=STATS

Belconnen U12's .... 25 players

Weston Creek U12's .... 21 Players

when will you stop BS'ing your way through this forum [-( [-(

That is players playing, not players registered. Two different things.

If you find that so funny I guess that proves that you are talking about things that you don't understand.

30 players registered. Not all of them played. What part of that don't you understand?

No, Topper, it's not a burp machine. Burp machines can't type.

You clearly have no idea how auskick runs. You register, you play, you get a kit, it's every week. They do drills to formal games. Our local clubs run Saturday and Sunday.

As NSWAFL says, you need to add them to the ACT figures if you've added the same age groups for RL.
