2 AFL clubs .. the only 2... in our largest city , a city of near 5 million people
& we have just 8748 members ... between them

making AFL warriors deluded .... "rain man/esque " head slapping ranting

that Sydney is an AFL town
some of the funniest " sh.ite " one has read in a while ................

This is why I have no worries about the AFL "taking over" Rugby League in this city. It's a huge city and can support both codes. Especially when the AFL is pulling such tiny numbers as quoted above.

And in the real world the AFL has millions of supporters compared to the thousands the NRL has. On a national level the AFL crushes the NRL in regards to memberships, supporter base and money! Dream on you stupid NRL supporters as your code is no competition to the AFL

Ahh this thread is talking about sydney 'Warrior'. And ahh I think RL has more supporters worldwide than AFL.

What a stupid thread. Swans memberships only went on sale last week. I only renewed today. Lets see the numbers come July shall we. I've no doubt both the Swans and Giants will have thousands more members than any NRL club in Sydney. History tells us that much.

I would say that we will see good numbers by March let alone July.

Rubbish , a mate of mine said he renewed nearly a month ago with the Swans ... more cr@p from beaussie

GWS will have thousands more then ANY NRL club in Sydney will they , so GWS will get 20K plus members will they ?
Souths have 15K as of today ... & will get to their target of 22K on their ear .. & mab's will give 25K a fright
The Dragons won't be far behind , they'll both give the Swans a serious challenge for the most members of any Sydney sporting club



& I predict the Knights to take the mantle of the NSW sporting side with most members .... they'll trump the Swans ( and they'll do it with 90% of their members coming from Newcastle .. unlike the Swans , with only 66% coming from Sydney ) the Swans numbers will continue to decline & slide whilst the membership numbers of NRL clubs will continue to go through the roof

We all know NRL clubs fudge their membership numbers like their crowds. Non ticketed, leagues club members don't count dopey.
