Sydney is an AFL town

What are very interesting trip to Sydney so far. Everywhere I have gone the locals just want to talk about AFL and have a strong dislike to the NRL. Many of the locals from suburbs like Parramatta, Blacktown, Refern, Kings Cross and Chatswod refer to the NRL as a bogan game full of mindless thugs and rapists who think they are above the law. I don't think the AFL needs to worry about not getting a stronghold in Sydney as it is always here. Bravo to the people of Sydney in seeing the light and supporting the AFL and rejecting that garbage called NRL. =D>

The Swans are already the biggest sporting club in not only Sydney, but all of NSW. Watch this season as the Giants join them.

Excellent work for a team outside of it's heartland.

I return to Sydney at least once a year and it's very interesting to see the snapshot changes.
In the Eastern Suburbs, where I hail from the changes have been very dramatic with clubs and teams springing up everywhere.
In an extremely short space of time the Maroubra club has gone from formmation to a full complement of junior sides to senior sides and now an elite U18s side. Travelling out Parramatta way you can pick up on the developments the GWS have made. They have a great facility out there and are engaging the community at all times. This is evident by the huge corporate support that GWS has recieved as business have recognised the power of a unified WS brand.

won't be for long ...... theres 2 Sydney NRL clubs that will knock it off the Swans falling membership numbers in the next few years
Souths & the Dragons
another Sydney NRL club.. the Bulldogs.. to surpass the Swans falling average attendance of 25K .. probably next year
& a fourth NSW NRL club who'll belt the Swans for both membership & average attendance... Newcastle.. probably next year too
bye bye Swans
good riddance too ............

What are you trying to say ? 15 new teams or 15 new clubs ?
The SFL has Premier Division, First to Fifth Division, elite U18s and a NEAFL side in the seniors.
Or are talking about the juniors ?
By comparison the warl has 7 incomplete clubs and a stand alone.

Itheres been no great increase in the number of people playing AFL in Sydney
theres always been an AFL comp in Sydney .... the game has been played in Sydney longer then League
it hasn't made any great leaps as you suggest
thats just AFL froth & bubble ... no substance & you're toeing the party line .....

Obviously you are .
So explain the significance of 15 teams!!You've supplied a quantitative amount now justify it or is this just another of your unsubstantiated claims ?

you brought up the WARL
your the one making the claims of an explosion of AFL teams
I was saying going from 15 teams to 20 ..... aint an explosion ( ie a tiny base to a slightly bigger then tiny number ) ............K

So what I am saying where is the 15 to 20 teams coming from .
What AR competition are you talking about ?
The SFL has about 80 senior teams this year and juniors have many more .
So what are thse 20 teams ?
They are nothing near the total number of teams.
They are not close to the number of team increases.
Are you saying these are the number of club increases ?

You just cannot explain the 15 to 20 teams remark can you.
You're doing everything possible to distract people from the fact you've sprouted bs and you've been caught out.
Come on explain if you can or are you going to try yet another apathetic diversion.
