if the top 10 TV shows in Canberra are anything to go by
wheres all the Rugby ?
wheres all the AFL ?

1 rugby show .... out of 10, the toffs will tell you they dominate Canberra
they do not clearly

NONE  ... not one , not even the AFL Grand Final .. making the list
giggleball fans will tell you how popular their sport is down here too .... phhhttttt please ... its a dud & heres the proof

Rugby League
5 shows in the top 10... including all of the top 3
RL is our nations capitals Numb 1 sport ... by the length of the straight at thoroughbred park , giving the overall ratings win.. to WIN TV ... showing how extremely important RL is to regional broadcasters
as this guy says down the bottom ... no NRL
no ratings
what was it your were saying beaussie about regional broadcasters not having a say in what their parent companies buy ?
RL is the most valuable commodity on TV in this country
thats it .... theres nothing else to say

Rugby league helped keep WIN on top in Canberra, where half of the year's 10 highest-rating programs were NRL or State of Origin telecasts.

WIN claimed the capital's most-watched show overall (the NRL grand final) and the most-watched drama (Underbelly Razor).

WIN's offshoot GO! and Southern Cross Ten's Eleven tied as Canberra's most popular digital channels, each recording a 4.6 per cent share of nightly viewing.

The ABC's four-channel network share of 20.7 per cent in Canberra was much higher than its national average (15.8), which was down on its 2010 result (16.9).

Media analyst Steve Allen, managing director of Sydney-based Fusion Strategy, said Seven's hit Australian content was finally paying off for Prime7.

''Seven generally has two, three or four powerhouse productions every week of the official survey year,'' Mr Allen said.

''They have been building this cache of local productions since 2004.''

Rugby league underpinned the ratings of Nine and its regional affiliates.

''In NSW and Queensland NRL is all-important,'' Mr Allen said. ''The minute this is off ratings and share for Nine drop down.''

Address the question rather than spinning more BS. Your link doesn't work and you've failed to provide another link to prove your point. You're full of shit. End of story.

Thanks once again for the facts Raider. The link was an interesting read and supports your other evidence highlighting Rugby Leagues dominance of the tv ratings.

Beaussie this thread is proof that you are lying through your teeth to all the members of this site. You are now well beyong your old nicname 'the man who cried wolf'.

Hang your head in shame beaussie. I'm very worried now that the ratings you have posted on this site are a complete shambles...

Well who really cares about the ACT, it is like NZ, nothing of interest to be seen in those places!

This is simply a reflection on the lack of an AFL club in the national competition in Canberra. Once the AFL puts a club there the tide will turn. They have a magnificent venue at their disposal at Manuka.
