Does anyone else have these feelings when they see garbage thrown out in the streets, especially in so-called NRL heartlands? Thank God the AFL is coming long to dispose of this refuse =D>

You have never kicked us out. In fact I'm told that the New South Wales AFL competition has been played in Sydney since 1903! Five years before the NSWRL was even formed!

The truly Australian game played in all parts of the country well before the arrival of the imported rubbish from England. =D>

No, the Australian game played in all parts of the country with the 3rd highest average crowds in the world. Something all Australians are truly proud of.

it may be played in all parts of the country... but is a joke in half of it
& any sport could become the 3rd highest crowd drawer in the world if they charge the price of a peanut butter sandwich to get in

AFL is a national embarrasment

Bigger crowds for the AFL in Sydney than any NRL club. In fact, the Swans are the biggest sporting club in NSW. Way to go AFL.

a Swans home crowd is equal to the 2 smallest NRL clubs in Sydney in Penrith & Cronulla

they equal the Swans

also a financial basket case set to fold ....simply not enough room in Sydney for 2 sides for a very minor sport in Sydney like flogball
ah well
its a shame I spose ... the Swans did all the leg work , all the hard work early on & got some so so results
but it'll all mean squat when all the focus & $$$ from the egomaniacal AFL will go to their latest venture ... a dead horse that they will flog for a very long time
GWS..the Great Waste of Space Midgits

I have travelled all over Australia and AFL is played everywhere unlike that league rubbish. In Alice Springs AFL reigns supreme and the Natives there flock to AFL games. AFL brings harmony to these Native communities for without it the Natives would be getting drunk and bashing each other up. The Native Grand Final in Alice Springs is a highlight on the calender for the Natives and non-Natives there.

Aborigines have a proud history in AFL. They have a natural talent for it and in the last generation this has been nurtured very well by the AFL. Some Aborigines have played NRL as well with a few making their mark (ie the late Artie Beetson), but in pure numbers the AFL I believe do better. I have heard good things about the Alice Springs grand final, and I have watched the Tiwi Island grand final which is shown live on the ABC when it is played.
