"Rugby league seemingly lurching from day to day to survive"

All governments are impressed with the AFL. How couldn't they be... it's our national game.

Rugby League meanwhile is summed up as follows:
Rugby league has an attention span of five minutes, seemingly lurching from day to day to survive. What has impressed some within the government already is how long the AFL seems to have.

"They even see the Swans as a young club," said one official. "And they've been here 30 years."

RL is more national when you take in WHERE THE PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIVE.

Do please show us where RL has taken the game to the regional areas of Victoria, Western Australia and South Australia and to anywhere in Tasmania.

And what pharking regional areas is AFL played in?

Geelong for 100 years and the Gold Coast this pharking year, wow.

And RL is actually played in each bloody state and territory you ignoramus. (plus outside Australia, not like your code).

Pissant.

Whilst Australian Rules Football is played in every part of this great country of ours, outside of NSW and QLD, you'd struggle to find a Rugby League presence. The Australian preference is Rugby Union.

Hahahahaha.

Rah rah, typical, when you can't fight one on one, jump on other codes to give you a hand.

Just stating the facts. Take VIC, SA, WA and TAS. It's obvious that Rugby Union is much more entrenched and popular in these states than Rugby League which has virtually no presence. Only a complete fool would state otherwise.

Really, is that why TV ratings for RL smash union in these places when both are shown?

Really? From what I've seen of the tv ratings, Rugby Union owns you lot in VIC, SA, WA and TAS.

The state league of Victoria has clubs in Ballarat and Bendigo. Beyond that I'm not sure of the presence but it is there.

Rugby league is not played anywhere in country Victoria that I am aware of.

I have looked at the Regional Footy board here, and according to TLPG there are 249 AFL clubs in New South Wales alone. I have asked for details in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.

From what I was told on the Forum/Sites section I think he may well be better compared to Rudd than Gadaffi. Besides, I was asking for information about local AFL and not about forum moderation.
