I've been inspired by recent comments describing what AFL looks like to an observer who doesnt like it or doesnt know it. So please use this thread to describe what either code looks like to you or people you have talked with.

My wife told me recently the NRL looks like a bunch of gay men enjoying eachother on the grass

An English scribe famously once wrote of Australian Rules

Having played and enjoyed both AFL and ping pong I don't actually mind the term "aerial ping pong" for AFL
