Not on crowds, membership numbers, merchandise sales, tv rights or ratings and sponsorship that's for sure.

If the NRL used tag and touch RL like your code does with auskick, RL would be up there with soccer.

Auskick is Australian Football for juniors administered by the AFL.

Touch and Tag have no affiliation with the NRL.

you have a play the ball
you have a max 6 of them before turning over possesion
you place or rake the ball back between your feet to a dummy half
you can't pass the ball forward
you score by grounding the ball in an opponents in goal

then all forms of giggleball in Australia

Rugby Union is more popular than Rugby League in Australia. Still however unable to match the AFL... FACT!!!
