WOW, yes, WOW

Amazing to think that the GWS Giants have been able to recruit 12,178 foundation members without even having played a game in the AFL. To further put things in perspective and highlight this great achievement, that's more members than all the NRL clubs in western Sydney.

Well done AFL/GWS Giants. =D> =D> =D>

members ? .......... all 12,178 have paid $50 with not a single " proper" membership package released to date
the question remains , when they do release their " proper" membership packages
how many will sign up for $250 to $500 plus memberships

I think some will.... most won't

you can certainly say most of the 5K of this 12K from Canberra won't , they'll stay on the piddling amount they paid originally ($50) & get into their 4 games down here for it
& plenty in Sydney won't either ... again , Sydneysiders only get 7 games ( one at a fenced off goat track at Blacktown 8-[ ) so they can't be asked to pay too much more then they have already either

nuh, its another smoke n mirrors exercise from the AFL & GWS , & only a fool would fall for these misleading headlines
this 12K will be about 4K when properly analyised

Aww, there, there Raider.

I appreciate this news must be very distressing for you to hear. You got to admit the AFL is doing well in what used to be 'NRL heartland'. Give it time to sink in, you'll get used to the change princess. :<> :<> :<> :<> :<>

BTW, on another note, GWS have more members than the NRL minor premiers and regular grand finalists Melbourne Storm.

Again, well done AFL/GWS Giants. =D> =D> =D>

distressed ......

you only get one chance to garner support via " foundationism" ... the Suns this year , & GWS next get this little lift .. once.
after that to maintain interest one must do well on the field , & most certainly must do very well on it when you are in an area that is not a traditional stronghold.

8-[ .... ah well

thats the end of that then :(/ :(/ :_<> :(/ :_<> :\: :\: :_<> :\: :(/

Hmm, so does that mean Rugby League is dead or at the very least on it's knees. With 15 of the 16 NRL clubs broke I'm not sure you can come to any other conclusion. Tradtional stronghold with less members than a new AFL team. Hilarious.

as I have proven ... no ones broke in the NRL
the Suns & GWS will be the greatest hoovers of AFL funds in the History of the game due to no one giving a rats @rse about them within 5 years
good times

You haven't proven anything dopey. As I've pointed out time and time again, 15 of the 16 NRL clubs are broke. That is according to the media and get this, NRL club CEOs themselves. Wake up stupid.

GWS have more members than all the western Sydney NRL clubs without having played even played a game. The future looks bright for the AFL in NSW.
