2010 - 31k in Limerick : 65k in Dublin
2006 - 35k in Galeway : 82k in Dublin
2004 - 46k Dublin : 60k in Dublin

The ashes (rugby league) - Is anyone else besides me appalled that rugby league would dare use the name the ashes to describe their joke of an international series?

2003 -
Game 1 : 24k Wigan
Game 2 : 25k Hull
Game 3 : 24k in the mighty city of Huddersfield

2009 Four nations (this is where the real joke begins)

R1 : England vs France 11k
NZ vs Aus 12K (higher crowd than England in England rofl so bad)

R2 : Aus vs England 22k
France vs NZ 12k

R3 : France vs Australa 6k lollolololololol (in Paris)
England vs NZ 19k

Grand final Aus vs England 31k in a ground that holds 41k people.

Why does league bother? its obvious Europe has rejected league.

Nicely researched borgidiom. My god, I didn't realise how pathetic the crowds were for so called International Rugby League. Those crowds are woeful. Totally embarrassing. Rugby League has been rejected by every market it has been taken too. LOL @ 31k for the final between Australia and England. Laughable and like you say, why do they bother. No one cares.

39K for the Warriors V Parramatta at the same ground this year ( they're opening their season there again next year ...they'll get 50K )

how are AFL crowds going in NZ ?
I seem to recall an NAB cup game played over there a few years ago & the crowd was ... 3500 or 4000

in England this year some of their biggest turnouts
90K at Wembley for the Challenge cup final
75K for the ESL Grand Final at Old Trafford

they don't even play AFL games in the old Dart any more do they ... such was the embarrasment caused when they did

I will say though that my feeling is that in general Europe has not taken to Rugby League apart from England.

Tell us your knowledge of curling or gaelic footy guys? It'd be about as much as anyone from any country outside aus can tell you about Aussie Rules

Be nice if once every now and then you throwball lot could acknowledge just how big the AFL is here and overseas judging by crowd numbers.

International Rules is part of the AFL hence it being governed and rules determined by the AFL and GAA. Tadgh Kennelley is a household names in Australia and Ireland. Add to that Jim Stynes. National heroes in both countries.

why is not either AFL or Gaelic Football then ?
are neither strong enough sports on their own ?
is neither able to be played by the players ?
or watched by the fans of either code .... ie the Irish won't watch AFL.... Australians won't watch Gaelic football
