From the President of the USA to our Prime Minister to all State Premiers and Ministers, it seems all politicians of all persuasions love their AFL Football. Why wouldn't they, electoral suicide not too.

Hahaha nice try at deflecting Raider. The proof is in the pictures above. All politicians love the AFL. It ensures we get new stadiums built courtesy of the taxpayer too... yes even in NSW with Barry O'Farrell being a Richmond Tigers supporters and his Sports Minister (former NRL referee Annesley) wearing a Giants scarf and committing funds to GWS and a redeveloped Sydney Showground for the AFL/GWS. Like I say, would be electoral suicide for any politician not to love the AFL. :P

Barry O'Farrell wouldn't know a Richmond Player from a grass stain in his undies
he is a West Tigers man ... his only " love " is for RL ... same for Annesley

they both are committing funds for AFL in Sydney so they can't be blamed when stick insect ball falls in a hole in a few years on its own accord. :\:

You clearly know very little about Barry O'Farrell. I saw him this season at the SCG for the Swans vs Tigers game and put it to him at half time that as Premier of NSW shouldn't he be a Swans fan. He said he had been a Richmond fan since a kid and couldn't give them up. He said however the Swans are his number 2 team. He then proceeded down to the Richmond Tigers rooms. [-X

O'Farrell backs Swans ahead of Giants
16:13 AEST Wed Feb 9 2011

NSW Opposition Leader Barry O'Farrell admits he's conflicted when it comes to backing a Sydney AFL team.

But the former long-time Richmond Tigers fan says he's likely to continue barracking for the Swans when the Western Sydney Giants side joins the competition in 2012.

"I'm conflicted when it comes to AFL," Mr O'Farrell told journalists in Canberra, following his National Press Club address.

Mr O'Farrell was encouraged to sign up with The Giants, which he clarified are the "first AFL team in western Sydney, not Sydney's second team".

"Probably politically I should have but ... the Swans (are) fantastic (so) I think I'll stay there."

Barry O'Farrel is not only a one eyed Richmond supporter but is also close friends with the Rioli familiy in the NT. He actually grew up alongside some of the Rioli family when he was living up in the NT as a child.

Cheers Grim. There you go Raider. Again you've been proven wrong.

BTW, don't you think it's great how Barry O'Farrell committed millions of NSW taxpayer dollars to the redevlopment of the Sydney Showground for the AFL/GWS. Going to be a wonderful new stadium next season. :thumbleft:
