We can now clearly see why pokie reforms have the NRL and it's clubs in a state of panic. Just 2 clubs in the entire NRL competition actually break even. What a joke of a sport, relying on pokie revenue from the poorest in our society to stay afloat.

Pokie reforms spell the end of the NRL. What can they fallback on, crowds? NO, tv rights? NO, memberships? NO, sponsorships? NO. They're fucked.

this is real bad news for the local pub that sponsors the Raiders.

& the threat of a strike by players next year because they want even more money ... to put a further strain on the AFL's finances

how does a club turnover 35 Million dollars
yet only make a profit equal to that of the local fish n chip shop
only in the AFL

Lions and Swans are both assets rich so no real issues there. Essendon and Richmond???? you've clearly got no idea what you're talking about. The others in your list are guranteed support based on an equalisation policy that is designed to ensure all clubs are financially secure and competitive. Another policy you throwball fans could learn from us.

Our record broadcast rights money is already banked. Not to mention our growing future fund gaining more and more interest daily. You lot on the other hand are hoping and praying that history will not repeat itself. You ought to be very concerned throwball fans. And don't forget your players are demanding more along with pokie reforms that will destroy 14 of your 16 clubs financially. Dreadful prospects I know. :<>

the Raiders actually have more net assets then Essendon

they own 10 licensed premises .... 4 of these they own the buildings
they own land in the centre of the city ... Rugby League Park Braddon , & it is worth a fortune
& their training facility at Bruce .. is state of the art , they own this too
