for 3 games at least
http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/w3s ... 202011.pdf

the AFL's 2 finals that made the top 40 programs are as follows
AFL:QUAL FINAL 2:GEELONG V HAWTHORN 1,313
AFL:1ST QUAL FINAL CLGWOOD V WEST CST 1,045

the 3rd in this ratings Period .. the Swans StKilda final didn't even make the list .. so despite attracting 922K metro veiwers .. drew less then 1,042 Mill veiwers all up .. I'll be generous & say it was 1,041 Mill

Yesterdays AFL Final attracted 901K metro veiwers
http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2011/09/week-38-3.html

... lets again be generous & add the highest number of regional veiwers an AFL final has attracted this weekend of 219K .. for a total of 1,120 Mill all up
thats probably on the big side but what evs

the AFL attracted in week 1 of the finals 4,519,000

hmmmmm 8-[
the AFL has had its bumhole handed to it on a platter by the NRL.. which attracted staggering ratings .... absolutely staggering ratings that even I'm surprised by

RUGBY LEAGUE FINAL SERIES QF1 1,606
RUGBY LEAGUE FINAL SERIES QF2 1,365
RUGBY LEAGUE FINAL SERIES QF3 1,190

now the NRL Final yesterday attracted metro ratings of 749K .. including 86K in Melbourne
http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2011/09/week-38-3.html

& i have no doubt , with one of regional Australias biggest football teams playing .. the Newcastle Knights ... ratings of 500K would have been easily achieved .. for 1.250 Million for NRL Final QF4

giving the NRL a total for week 1 of 8-[

ah.... umm

5,411,000

gawd f me

Given that the games pretty much went as close as head to head as they are going to this year. It must be fair to say the people who are interested in AFL or RL in general watch their preferred game on the weekend, either at the ground or on the box. That said lets do the numbers based upon what has been put in threads of late, as nobody seems to be argueing with them:

Followers Type RL Fans AFL Fans
TV Viewers: 5,411,000 4,519,000
Game Attendance: 123,000 270,000
Totals: 5,534,000 4,789,000

So 46% of people interested in either sport follow AFL and 54% follow RL. Still think you are Australias preferred code? #-o = :?> . Not sure how you work that out.

I flicked the channel while watching the AFL and come across this NRL rubbish. I pulled out the shotgun and destroyed the TV. Does this make me an NRL watcher as well?

The wannabe warrior princess has issues with lots of things. From uni students to understanding how he has the social mind of a primitive being, which is the reason he has his issues.

It's ok, I'm not offending the little scoundrel at all. He actually wont understand most of what I've written here. Fascinating :-k just a fascinating specimen of his kind :)

I think he's more of a native than what he suggests a "native" is, Grim  He's always speaking that gobbledigook and when one can understand his sentence it has no relevance at all. Could you imagine he/it in one of our countries universities? I certainly couldn't, he and his kind simply would not have the capacity.

Of course he wont understand what I'm saying here, the fascinating specimen he is...the mind boggles at his simplicity and lack of tact...yes, just fascinating :o
