Metro Pay TV ratings on Talking Footy

the TV ratings on this site for 2011 , for all bar the last few months only have the metro pay Tv ratings
not the regionals

now this is the case for both codes ... but its the NRL ratings that are at a distinct disadvantage here

case in point
the Round 4 NRL game between Parramatta & the Cowboys drew a then record ratings haul of 407K
http://www.tvtonight.com.au/2011/04/pay ... ek-14.html

but this site only included the metro figure
PAR http://www.talkingfooty.com/tv_ratings_2011.phpvs NQL FOX SN 253,000
& then totalled the numbers representing them as all veiwers watching
this is not correct.

As I pointed out the site has only the metro figures for the AFL too in the early part of the season , so they're not correct either
but we all know their regional ratings add probably only a 3rd more to their metro ratings

while regional ratings for the NRL on Pay add up to 60% more veiwers on top of the metro figures that are on average 50% higher then AFL metro ratings to begin with

this means all of the first half of this seasons overall tally's for TV ratings on this site are geared unfairly to the AFL & are not correct for either code or an accurate reflection of the ratings situation when comparing between the 2 codes.

I think this is outrageous & needs to be be fixed
beaussie
please explain.

Yes I agree. Beaussie if you're going to show tv ratings please give us a valid national indication. Cities dont represent the whole of Australia by any means yet you suggest they do. In effect your ratings defecate on all your members who live outside urban Australia.

he can leave the FTA regional ratings off if he wants E
as he believes they aren't entirely accurate
( they are but lets not argue that again on this thread )

but Pay TV ratings are 100% accurate .. both metro & regional
& the NRL regional pay ratings flogs the AFL's with a lead pipe
as they do on FTA too
& for them to be left off the totals on this site ... for more then half of the season ... is a travesty

Yes its plain deceitful and disrespects all members intelligence, not only those living in regional Australia as I suggested.

Comon Beaussie, lets get some credibility happening in here :x

The old 'the regionals dont matter' line? It is disrespectful to this nation :P

Those metro Pay TV figures were all that was available on the TV Tonight site earlier in the season. Will update the site with the latest figures now that they are available.

Surely this is the man who cried wolf speaking! Beaussie there is no way you will include the regionals if they illustrate RL is ahead of aussie rules in the ratings nationally. You simply couldnt do it!

I'm eagerly awaiting what Beaussie will craft up this time :)

Post us the true national figures please beaussie. Actually considering this site is 'live', you are doing the world a disservice by not incorporating national figures but soley the ciy figures... ...post them as a whole please! And dont call me dopey for asking for this simple, relevant, valid representation of the 'national' tv figures on your site.

thankyou :|

Wake up to yourself dopey. The true national figures are not available because all markets are not counted. You're a waste of space. #-o
