The Giants have sealed rhys palmer and callan ward.
Are they really targeting the right players to smash so many big dollars on?? The players a laughing but to be honest i hadnt heard much of ward untill the gws were poaching him?
The suns splashed out n got G Ablett one of the stars of the game which is understandable but to give ward 800k a season is ridiculous! Although he's laughing all the way to the bank!

I'm sure there is more big names to come kaskill and they'll no doubt get more than Ward or Palmer. The task of attracting players to a start club like GWS is difficult hence the concessions all the clubs agreed to. Still going to be a long hard road before success.

As long. As. Gws dont make the same mistake as gold coast of paying millions of bucks paying for promo of an ex league player im sure theyll do ok

It will be long time before GWS will make it in Sydney - there is just not the interest in AFL up here

GWS is all about increasing the profile of the game in Sydney. The game cannot continue based on the fortunes of the Swans alone. I'm looking forward to the arrival of GWS next season. Can't wait for the first local derby. It's going to be huge in Sydney.
