Just goes to show that when the AFL is shown live, even if just in Melbourne, NRL doesn't stand a chance with its live games that are manipulated to maximise tv ratings. Raider, pussycat, cooee et al, care to comment? :(/

What about last week?

Game was live into Melbourne and was flogged by NRL targeted at only 1 city.

Once all the ratings are included (Regional), AFL will once again be coming up short.

Just telling it how it is. I hear ya... you don't like the reality that the AFL is number one in tv ratings and crowds. Tough luck sunshine.

as Cooee has indicated

once the regionals are added ( tomorrow) then this AFL game.. which is about as big as it can get ATM for the AFL .. will be relagated to 2nd place ... again

& in fact
Im willing to say the biggest rating game of the week for either code will be todays NRL clash from Brisbane

wanna see a whopping beaussie
then post the ratings for todays games

Oh yes of course the regionals

Can't win the capital cities so try convince anyone who will listen that regionals count in the minds of broadcasters and advertisers. You throwball fans are hilarious. :(/

& the results are in for the overall count .. Metro & regionals

http://www.thinktv.com.au/SiteMedia/w3s ... 6_2011.pdf

the AFL actually got on the overall top 40 programs .. a rare feat for this code
813K for the metro figures
183K for the regional ratings .. for a total of 996K

the NRL
630K in the metro ratings
530K in the regional ratings ...

for a total of 1.160 Million

beaten again .............. :\: :\: :\:

Thanks Raider. It's important to present the regional figures so we can see which sport if more popular to tv viewers across our whole nation.

Your numbers are wrong dopey... and yes I did follow the link. FFS, can you be trusted about anything?

Oh and BTW, the NRL didn't even make the Top 40 in the capital cities. Why is it that the majority of Australians living in the capital cities don't like Rugby League? Hmm, not good for the next broadcast rights negotiations. Oh and yeah, we got our record $1,253 Billion already sunshine. :P

no they're right
& I think the NRL has probably had as many times in the top 40 metro as the AFL has this year

along with every week in the regionals ..., every .. single ... week
that 1.25 bill is looking a little shaky ..it'll soon be the 2nd biggest TV deal in Australian sport
