Burnt out after just 13 senior games.

Gees, even I'm shocked at how out of shape Rugby League players are when required to play at AFL level.
Karmichael Hunt may be burned out

THE AFL's $1 million-a-year rugby league import Karmichael Hunt could be cooked for 2011.

The Gold Coast defender has the flu and is unlikely to be selected for Saturday's clash with Geelong at Skilled Stadium.

Suns coach Guy McKenna said Hunt may have burned out after 13 senior games and two reserves outings in his first season

Ah Beaussie why the plural in the title of the thread?

I'd say its more likely Karmichael is just a rubish player than burned out.

I tend to concur with that observation, Onions (leaving the swearing out).

& Mr Khunt is laughing all the way to the bank with his 3 million dollars

" how dumb & desperate are these F.uckers " he'd be saying
they had to have an NRL player such is the lack of interest in their code
didn't matter he can't play their stupid fumbleathon game

the AFL had to have him ....they were that insecure about their success in these new markets .. they made a mockery of their code

a key stone cops show
a benny hill special .. is the AFL

I agree Raider,

I mean Karmichael doesnt give 2 stuffs about the AFL. If I were given this opportunity and truly enjoyed the game I would train hard. Where was Khunt during the pre season prior to his first match? Off in freakin Paris making adds for more money and having a lovely holiday while he was at it!

Laughing all the way to the bank indeed! And now they say he's "burnt out"

Stupid move to take him, he's not even trying!

This is a ridiculous assertion with no real hard evidence to prove it to be so. It's just an act of tabloid journalism on your part, Mr Eliagh. Do please provide the full evidence of your assertion with links to back them up.

Karmichael hunt was doing the swiss multivite add in paris. If you've seen it you'll know it was in paris. I cant remember where I noted the date but am sure you can find it easily yourself truthslayer. It was in an article i think and also on youtube.

The article wasn't concerned with him being there when he should have been on the GC training, but I was. I mean if I were playing at the elite level I'd be happy to be there and would train hard in the pre season, not go to paris to shoot adds and have a holiday. Unbelievable! Well believable if you realise he doesnt really care

"Tanking Season"

Let me get this straight. The AFL pays a bucket load of money to someone that is not an AFL player because.......? Lets see they saw a heap of potential in him and thought they could turn him into a star? No. They saw that he was a cheaper option than an established good player? No. They thought that he had a reasonably high profile in the NRL and hoped that would create some interest in a fledgling AFL team? I think so. Strange that they had to do that.

Down the track this guy has pockets full of AFL money and the AFL have had their 15 minutes of interest. Was that a good deal seeing that he is performing to the level of interest he has in the game. I for one think the answer is no.

How stupid is it then to turn around and criticize something you should have see coming from the day that stupid idea to recruit a NRL player came into your heads.
